STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIVE TO JOIN “VOXOPOP”

1. Enter the website www.voxopop.com and click on the green link “sign up, join in”.

2. In the next page, fill out ALL the “required details”. Your username should be easy to

remember as well as your password. Right after this click on “I agree, sign me up”

3. If you want to try if the voice recording system in your PC works, click on the second

item, more specifically in the “little monster” image-icon.

4. After clicking on that icon, you will see a page quite similar to the one below. On the

top right corner click on “join this group”.

Once you click you, you will see the page below, there you must click on “record a new

discussion”

NEXT STEP IN THE FOLLOWING PAGE

5. Depending on your computer characteristics and your internet navigator you will see

the following page just as it looks below. If you are using “Mozzila Firefox” or “Google

Chrome” as navigator, you must probably activate some “plug-ins” before visualizing

the recorder in the correct way, and /or you will probably have to download the latest

version of Java in your computer. If you have to download the latest version of Java

the webpage of Voxopop will indicate you the way to do it.

Once you see the image below, you are allowed to record your testing message:

Remember, the recorder must have the words “Ready to record”. Then click on the

“red button” and record your voice. Then listen to check if your voice and your

message was correctly recorded.

NOTE: Make sure that all internal devices in your computer are working and

ready to record voice.

6. After this recording test, you are ready to use VOXOPOP, and now you can log out!

7. After checking your subscription was successful, please send me an email or a message

notifying that you have already become an active member of Voxopop. In that email

you must send me your Voxopop username. For example my username is: Mauricio_b_a

8. Log in again just to check your subscription was successful.

9. Now go directly to the following link:

You will visualize the following Voxopop talkgroup.

Log in again.

10. After logging in click on “join this talkgroup”

11. Now, click on “record a new discussion”

12. Write a title for your discussion (participation)

Write at least one clue word for your participation

Click on the red button to start recording your message!

Click on the square (stop) button to stop recording!

Click on the triangle (play) button to listen to your message!

And now, just get ready to enjoy and use Voxopop!
