His Journey Just Begun

Don’t think of him as gone away his journey’s just begun.

Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting

from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort

where there are no days and no years.

Think how he must be wishing that we could know today,

how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.

And think of him as living

in the hearts of those he touched. For nothing loved is ever lost,

And he was loved so much.

Love, Your Family

Reverend William Anthony Ellis

Reverend William Anthony Ellis, son of Loves Bonnie Ellis and the late Jessie William Ellis was born on September 30, 1970 in Pageland, South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Carolina Pines Medical Center in Hartsville, South Carolina. Reverend Ellis attended the Chesterfield County Public School system in his early life then later moved to New London, Connecticut where he graduated from New London High School. He served in the National Guard from 1993 until 1999. Reverend Ellis was employed with Conbraco Industries in Pageland, South Carolina for nineteen years. He enjoyed coach-ing at local schools and working as a referee and umpire for the Pageland Recreational Department. Through this ministry, he was able to minister to a lot of different people of all ethnicities. He was an avid horse rider, he loved to fish, hunt and enjoyed being around his family. At an early age, Reverend Ellis joined Morning Star Holiness Church in Jefferson, South Carolina. Later, he joined Angelus Chapel A.M.E. He worked tirelessly in the Master’s vineyard preaching and teaching the Word of God. In November 2004, God elevated Reverend Ellis to become the pastor of Poplar Hill A.M.E. Zion Church, Pageland, South Carolina. In November 2008, he was blessed to return home and he became the pastor of Angelus Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Jefferson, South Carolina.
