StepnellLtdhasbeenengagedinbuildingandcivilengineeringcontractingforoveronehundredandfortyyears.Asaresultofthiswehaveanexperiencedandestablishedworkforceabletoofferhighqualitycraftsmanshiptoourcustomers.
Thediversityofourcurrentportfolioincludesuniversities,secondaryandprimaryschools,technicalcolleges,sportsfacilities,factoriesandwarehousing,offices,crematoria,hospitalwork,medicalcentresandresidentialdevelopments,letunderavarietyofcontractconditionsincludingJCTandpartneringcontracts.OurscopeofworkextendsfromrefurbishmentthroughdesignandbuildtoPFIandotherhybridformsofconstruction.Wearecapableofdeliveringprojectsupto£20moperatingfromofficesbasedinRugby,Nottingham,Grantham,Wantage,PooleandKidderminster.

ACharteredCivilEngineer,MarkbringsatechnicalconstructionbackgroundtotheforefrontofStepnell’sprojectsandaclearunderstandingofconstructionriskmanagement.Thishasunderpinnedhiscommitmenttotheadoptionofbestpracticeandmodernmethodsofmanagementinthecompanywhichhavebeenmajordriversofgrowthinrecentyears.MarkalsorepresentstheConstructionAllianceattheConstructionLeadershipCouncil.

BillisresponsibleforalltheconstructioncontractingoperationsoutoftheRugby,NottinghamandGranthamoffices;heisalsotheDirectorresponsibleforHealthandSafety.HejoinedStepnellin2007andhasover40years’experienceinconstructioncontractingandhasbeenresponsibleforadiverserangeofschemesindifferentsectors,ranginginindividualprojectvaluesfrom£1millionto£30million.BillhasextensiveexperiencewithintheEastMidlandsRegion.

AfterjoiningStepnellin2001,DavidbecameDesign&BuildDirectorin2005.HeandhisteamhavebeeninnovativeintheirapproachtoprojectsfortheCompany.Attentiontodetailisparamountindesignandplanning,takingtheprojectsfromconceptiontocompletionsuccessfully.
