“Gay best friends” – friends with females, does hair, shops, ect

Voice – higher pitch

Body language (hand on hip, hand gesture, walks with the hips)

Wear pink, use spray tan, hairless

Listens to musicals

GLEE

In this Kurt and Blaine are together as a couple. In this program they are

shown singing most of the time which is very stereotypical. In the relationship

Blaine is portrayed as the man, doing sports and hanging with the guys whereas

Kurt is seen as the women, fashion and hanging with the girls.

In this t.v show Nikki and Vix are together. There relationship are

shown as weak even after becoming engaged which is stereotypical as

people view lesbian relationship as a phase. In this nikki is shown as the

man in the relationship and Vix is the women, this gender rolling is

stereotypical.
