Summary of Duties: As the Watch Analyst in the FEMA Region IX Watch Center I'm responsible for maintaining situation awareness for FEMA Region IX, notifying and briefing senior leadership of disasters and/or incidents, processing Fire Management Assistance Grant requests and providing essential elements of information to Emergency Support Functions (ESFs), Other Federal Agencies (OFAs) and the National Watch Center. During this temporary assignment I was assigned to the Response Division's Operational Planning Branch to assist in current planning efforts.

Accomplishments: • Assisted in revising the Regional Watch Center Standard Operating Procedures. • I serve on the Regional Support Team as a member of the Planning Section.

• During the 2011 Arizona wildfires I was assigned to the Southwestern Fire Coordination Center. This assignment involved coordinating Federal firefighting support and maintaining situational awareness with the Arizona State Emergency Operations Center, the Region 6 and 9 Watch Centers and FEMA Headquarters.

• Served as the Situation Unit Leader in the 2012 Typhoon Pakyo exercise in Guam. This included the preparation of the Joint Federal/State Situation Report and maintaining the Initial Operating Facility's Common Operating Picture.

• Assisted in the creation of several annexes of the Region IX All-Hazards Plan and the California Cascadia Subduction Zone Catastrophic Response Plan.

• Served as the lead planner to the Golden Guardian Exercise Mass Care Workshop. This included providing exercise development guidance and creating a white paper on mass care logistical support in Southern California.

• Supported the Golden Guardian Exercise, Port Reconstitution Workshop by developing and completing the Unified Coordination Group Course of Action Template.

• Co-facilitated the economic workgroup at the National Disaster Recovery Framework rollout in San Francisco, CA.

Orange County, FL Office of Emergency Management 2002 to 2010 Assistant Manager/Senior Planner

Summary of Duties: Orange County has a resident population of one million people and receives 44 million visitors yearly. As the Assistant Manager of this office I oversaw the county's emergency management program and supervised the day-to-day activities of six full-time employees.

Accomplishments: • As the County EOC Director I was responsible for supervising the EOC

operations to include supervising the activities of 20 Emergency Support Functions and OEM staff, approving media press releases and implementing the county's incident action plan for more than 20 activations (2004 Hurricane Season, Hurricane Katrina, Haiti Repatriation operation, etc)

• I was responsible for developing and maintaining the county's emergency response team, to include coordinating countywide preparedness activities, the response and recovery plans and procedures and senior leadership policies and directives.

• Managed the emergency management planning program. This included the development and providing technical expertise to numerous county plans to include:

o Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan o County's NIMS Implementation Plan o County EOC Standard Operating Guidelines o County Mass Care Plan and Procedures o County Emergency Response Team Strategic Plan o City Readiness Initiative Response Plan

• Served as a technical advisor and/or steering committee member on numerous State and regional plans to include:

o Florida's Herbert Hoover Dike Catastrophic Response Plan o Central Florida Post-Disaster Redevelopment Plan o State of Florida Unified Logistics Plan o Central Florida Regional Domestic Security Task Force Incident

• As the county's exercise planner I was responsible for the creation and management of interagency exercises. This includes tabletop exercises to full-

scale exercises involving hundreds of first responders. I was responsible for the creation and publication of exercise after-action reports.

• Under my leadership the county received over $20 million through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program following the 2004 Hurricane Season.

• Served as the county's NIMS coordinator. This included the development of the NIMS adopting resolution and maintaining the county's NIMSCAST report.

• Served as the Deputy Planning Section Chief for the 2009 Super Bowl in Tampa, FL. This included pre-planning for the event and the development of the unified command's situation report and the incident action plan.

• Served as the Emergency Management Accreditation Program Coordinator; under my leadership we became the 2 nd county in the State to achieve accreditation.
