Post program correspondence:

Hi Raul:It’s been a long time since you left Taiwan. What have you been up to? I really enjoyed the memory we had. It was a special experience to me. I am going to have a concert in Taipei next week. It’s one of my favorite singers: Jolin Tasi. I enjoy her music very much. Hope you will like it too. Are you still learning Chinese? I know it is hard but you need to practice day by day. If there are questions you don’t know, just ask me. I will do my best for you. Hope you enjoy it.

Hey. I was just thinking how much I miss the school and how I wish I could go back so I was so happy when I checked my email today and saw that you had written. I think that is cool that you are going to that concert in Taipei. If you send me some of her music I will listen to it right away. I think my Chinese has improved since I've been back but there is nothing like being in Taiwan and speaking every day. I do have a question about it. I remember in Taiwan you would often say pai sei instead of xie xie. Why is that? Today is the first day of school at Provo High and I'm not too excited because I have some more math classes. I'm still thinking of the summer. After I came back to Provo I did some work for my parents and then we went on vacation. To tell you the truth our small vacation was nice but it only made me think of how great a country Taiwan was. I really miss steamed dumplings and those mango freezes we would get all the time. Well, tell everyone there hi for me. I'll try to email again as soon as i can.
