ForewordItisagreatpleasuretopresenttheAnnualReportof2018.ItgivesanimpressionofhowthemainactivitiesofStichtingFeminenzaNetherlandshavecontributedtotheaimsandprinciples of Feminenza and it covers organisational development and financialinformation.StronglymotivatedbythePrinciplesandAimsofFeminenza,wecarrythevisionofamorehumaneandpeacefulworldwhereweadvocateprinciplesofpartnershipand respectbetweenpeopleofallages,betweenthegenders,andrespectfortheplanet.Ourfirmbeliefisthathumanlifeispurposeful,andthatwecanreachfornewperceptions,feelingsandskillsinordertoliveamoreconstructivelifeandtoplayouruniquepartinmakingthisworldabetterplace.Finally,wethanktheladiesofournetworkintheNetherlands,whovolunteertheirtimetodevelopFeminenza’sprojectsandeducationalprogrammesandwhoconsistentlyapplythenewunderstandings, attitudes andways in their own lives. 1 Whatwedo

StichtingFeminenzaNetherlandsisapublicbenefitorganization,foundedin2001.It ispartofaninternationalnetworkwithlike-mindedorganizationsin15countries.Currentlyin7countriesformalorganisationshavebeenestablishedforthedeliveryofFeminenzaworks.ThetwomainthemesintheworkofFeminenzaare:

• To advance and support long-term inner development for women, a betterunderstandingaboutthetruenatureofthefemininegenderandtheirpotentialroleinsocietyandleadershiproles.

• To actively encourage a better understanding and mutuality between bothgenders.

In2018,fromtheAimsofFeminenzaaims2,3,4and5weremostprevalentin the activities of FeminenzaNetherlands.Wemostly focussedonthe feminine gender, because webelieve that when women get tounderstand themselvesbetter,whenthey live fromtheirstrengths,valuesandreasonsandstandforit,theywillmakeadifferenceinthewaywegoonin society, and that it will promoteotherstofindtheirstrengths.Gettingthereissometimesalonglearningandtestingprocess.“Ouroftenhabitualresponsestowhatwemeetinlifecanimpedeandstopusfrommovingforwardfreely.Detectingandbecoming aware of reactivity based on past and often unfortunate experiences is aliberatingwayforward.”Feminenzaprovidesandexplorescoreconceptandtools,andoffersanecologythatallowforopenexplorationandprivatereflection,withoutjudgmentandpressure,causingagreaterintactnessandsenseofdirectioninlife.OnaglobalscaleStichtingFeminenzaNetherlandsactivelycontributestotheMillenniumgoals of the UN, specifically MDG3 aiming at ‘advancement of equality between thegendersand theempowermentofwomen,givingpriority tostrengthening the roleofwomen in leadership’. Since 2008 acknowledgement for our contribution (funding,volunteersandprojectmanagement)hasledtobecomingapartnerwithECOSOC’sCivilSocietyNetwork.Inaddition,theStichtingendorsesResolutionUNSCR1325(inthistheUNarguesformoreinvolvementofwomenatall levelsofdecisionmaking,(bothinconflictresolutionandpeace negotiations), and to the later resolutions 1820 (the UN declared its positionagainsttheuseofsexualviolenceasatoolofwar)and2122(theUNemphasizedagaintheimportanceof‘empowerment’ofwomen).TheStichtingalsoendorsestheNationalActionPlan1325oftheNetherlandsthatresultsfromUNresolution1325.Chapter2describeshowtheactivitieshavecontributedtotheaforementionedaims.

TheAimsofFeminenza1. Topromotenewunderstandingbetween thegenders,and toestablishanassociationbasedonrespectandhonourintheexchangethatoccursbetweenthenaturesofthemasculineandfemininegenders,comingfromdeeperinsight,andwisdoms,promotingthebestineach.

2. Tohelprestorethedignityanduniquepurposeofthefemininegenderinthesecurrenttimes,bysharingexistingandnewknowledgetowardspromotingabetterunderstandingofthetruenatureandpotentialofthefemininegender.

3. Tohelpwomenandgirlssearching forabetterplatformandbetter toolsbywhichtoproceedinlifeasandwhenpossible,inanywayorinanypartoftheworldasmembershipand funding permits, by providing assistance in terms of support, education, andsisterhood.

4. To promote an international web of strength, humanity, support and unity amongwomen,andbetweenwomenandmeninthesecurrenttimes.

5. Toassisthumandevelopment,by furthering theseunderstandings through theglobalworkandoutplayofFeminenza.

2. ActivitiesandResults2.1 Researchanddevelopmentofanewgenderframeworkfor

thefemininegenderThis firststrategicgoalofStichtingFeminenzaNetherlandscomesfromthevisionthatwomenhaveanimportant‘parttoplayinthefutureofourworld,buttoplaythatpart…we need to learn to understand ourselves, profoundly, to rewrite the centuries ofignorance,suppression…andseeingourselvesasinsignificant…’.(http://www.feminenza.org/whoweare/vision-and-mission/) In addition, we reach outforamoreequitableworld,wherewelearnandworktogether,wherebothgendersplayapartinupholdingthevalues,purposesandinnerqualities,therebycreatingahealthyandfairsocietywherethenextgenerationcanbuildon.In the Netherlands sixty eight women are actively engaged in specific researchesconcerninginnerworkandindesigningeducationalmaterial.TogetherwithotherladiesfromtheInternationalnetworktheyengageindifferentprojectslikethespecificstagesand transitions in life such as menopause and its significance; seven expressions ofhumanity;supporttothosethatarefacingloss,bereavementandtrauma.RegularresearchsessionsandworkshopsInvariouspartsofthecountry(a.o.Zoeterwoude,Zeeland,Alteveer)groupsmetregularlyto exchange ideas, to continueresearch into the many subjects allaimed towards taking charge of oneslife inaconstructiveway.Theweeklysessionsarefoundtobeinspiringandstrengthening to self-leadership andself-responsibility. (Feminenza Aim 2and3) InMarch,therewasaweekendretreatin the Amberij (a rural facility inDrenthe);thereflectiveandmeditativeprocesscausingafurtherdeepeningofthereasonsforlivingandthepracticalimplicationsforoneslife. SharingInNovemberanotherretreattookplaceintheAmberij(Drenthe)todeepentheresearchon the ‘Seven Expressions of Humanity’, attended by both men and women. In thatprocessfindingcoreunderstanding,valuesandprinciplestoliveby.Thisworkcontinuestothisdaywiththeintentiontodevelopspecificworkshopsforthosewhowanttohelprestorethedignityinhumanlifethroughstrengtheningamorerespectfulattitudetoonesownlife,toeachotherandtotheplanet.(FeminenzaAim2and4) FeminenzaAim3featuresimportantlyinaresearchthathasgoneonnowforsomeyearswhichconcernsthevalueandsignificanceofthenaturalstagesandmajortransitionsin

women lives.The research into themenopause and the timearound themidlife-crisiscontinuedinthewayofaweeklydialogueintheteam,continouslyseekingtoupdateandstrengthenthecoreaspectsoftheladydevelopmentinone’sownlifeinresponsetothereality of living in this time. Crucial were the theme ofmaintaining ones dignity andintegrityaswellasaddingvaluetothesolidarityofthefemininegender.Inthemeantimekeepinganopenmindtofindwaystooffertheworkinanewandinclusivewaytootherwomen.ThisyeartheteamfacilitatedaworkshoponInternationalWomen’sDay(moreinparagraph2.2).BuildingaTransformativeLeadershipjourneyforwomenFiveladiesoftheNetherlandsareparticipatinginaninternationalteamthatisdesigningaTransformativeLeadershipprogrammeforwomen.Theypartakeinthisteamaspartoftheir7-yearcommitment.

Lifedemonstrationofkeyunderstandings

An important element is pioneering many different educational tools that allow forexperientiallearningthroughallthesenses:fromMind-Bodywork,TheatretoMeditation.Allthisworkisinthestageofresearchanddevelopment(moreinparagraph2.2).In2018their focus was on designing workshops, pilot them and be in training to representFeminenzainvariousactivitiestoprovideforotherwomen.(FeminenzaAim2,3,4and5)InternationalNetworkGatheringWithinaseriesofinternationalnetworkgatheringsthegatheringofAprilwashostedbyFeminenzaNetherlandsandtookplace inFredeshiem,acountryseatwellsuitedforaretreat.Participantsofelevendifferentnationalities(UnitedKingdom,Ireland,Norways,Denmark,Germany,France,Spain,Greece,Netherlands,IsraelandUSA)cametogether.

Theaimofthesegatheringsistodeepentheingredientsoftheessentialmindsetvitalinthis timeof challengesandchanges forhumanity,and todeepenandconsolidate thenecessary developmental steps in oneself as representatives of the feminine gender.Thesesubjectswereworkedthroughactivegeneration, reflectiveprocesses insmallergroups and meditative moments. In the international Network Gathering in Israel inSeptember,FeminenzaNetherlandswasrepresentedbyfiveladies.Allprocessesleadtodeepeningofvision,one’sownmission,one’sintentions,“anavalancheofperceptions,ideasandrevelations”andglimpsesofpotentialforwhenweworktogetherasasistership.(FeminenzaAim2,3and4)RubyHeart-projectThisprojectprovidescounsellingandsupporttopeoplethatarefacingloss,bereavementandtrauma.Nationallyandinternationallytheparticipantsofthisprojecthaveengagedinaprocessofreviewandalignmenttothereasonsforthiswork,theirvisionandmissiontowardsahumanresponsetotheneedsinthesechangingtimes.Severalinternationalmeetings (in Westerwald/Germany and Cornwall/UK) took place towards this end inwhichparticipantsoftheNetherlandsattended. Important issueshavebeendiscussedlike principles of bereavement counselling, how to safeguard confidentiality, privacy,carefulness.DuringanintensiveweekendinSeptember,agroupofpeopleexploredthequalityofCompassionforhumansandmorespecificincounselling,whichappearedtobe“inspiringandbringingmoreinnerconnection”tothiscrucialquality.Oneof theoutplays of thiswork is in forming support groups around individuals andfamilieswhocopewithchronicillnessesorterminally illfamilymembers,assistingandoffering support.Another is volunteersactive inbereavementcounselling inhospices.Otheroutplaysaresupportingandaccompanyingrefugeesandimmigrantsindistressandwomenindetention.Firststepsarebeingmadetoexploreandofferathree-yeareducationalprogramtobringnewparticipantsinsidethefoundationalworkneededtobecomeaRubyHeartcounsellor.ImpactImportantimpactofalltheregularsessions,workshopsandretreatsisthatladiescantakethemselvesoutofthemanyinfluencesandconditionsthatareputuponthemindailylifeandtakethetimetodotheirresearch,findingunderstandingsthathelpthemtomakebetterinformeddecisionsandtotakemorechargeovertheirlives.Oneoftheeffectsalsoisthattheyprovideexampleshipinwhatevertheydowhetherinbeingaparent,apartner,acaretaker,asister,acompanion,atworkandsoon.Futureprospect...ThevariousresearchareasallcarrytheintentiontofurtherdeveloptheuniquecontentandunderstandingsthatFeminenzaoffersintoworkshopsandprogrammes.

2.2 Providinganenhancedlearningecologyandeducationalprogrammesforwomen.

Towardsself-leadershipinwomenIn 2018 an average of 12 ladies continued to work steadily into thiscurriculum to apply the content of the developing programmeTransformative Leadership inwomen (see 2.1). Fortnightly sessionswereconductedinEdeandinRijnsaterwoude.WorkshopsonAgreements,WillHaveandWon’tHaveareasandDevelopingStandardswerebeingpiloted.Mainfocuswastodeepenthediscoveryjourneyinoneselfaboutthenature,characterandstyleofthedifferentliveswithin.Timewasspentintheaterizingtheexpressionsandcharacteristicsoftheselives,whichallowedagreaterintimacywiththeselives,andinnerfreedomandconfidence.Oneoftheresultsisthattheparticipatingladieshavebecomemoreawareofwhattheyfindimportant,ofwhattheydoanddon’twant;theyreflectedthatitishelpingthemtomakebetterdecisionsabouttheir lives.TheprogrammewassuccessfullycompletedinMay.Itwasanexcellentpracticeforthefacilitatorsintraining.Fortheparticipantsitproofedtobeagoodlearningecology.Beingintroducedtothecoreconceptsoftransformativeleadership (Feminenza Aim 2 and 3) was highly appreciated. The afore mentionedworkshopswillfindanextoutplayintheyearstocome.The4LivesintroductionAnimportantoutcomeisthattwooftheparticipants,inspiredbytheworkandfromthewish to make it available for other women, took it upon themselves to provide anintroductioncourseintothe4livesfornewjoiningladies.This9months’introductiontothe4Livesformsnowthebasicplatformofthetransformativeleadershipprogramme.Thefirstmeetingwasheldwith8newladiesinNovemberviaZoomconnectionallowingfor an international group to work together (from France, Belgium, Norway and theNetherlands).MoretobereportedintheAnnualReportof2019.FeminenzaWorkshopsinsideInternationalWomen’sDay

StichtingFeminenzaNetherlandswasinvitedtotakepartintheoutplayofInternationalWomen’sDay in theTownHall of LeidenonMarch11th2018, attendedby some200womenfromtheLeidenarea.Amidst8professionalorganizationsfacilitatingworkshops,Feminenzaofferedtwoworkshops,‘TheInnerstrength’and‘Forgivenessstartswithself’.

Bothworkshopswerewellattendedandtheparticipantsvividlyengagedindiscussions,allcontributingfromtheirlife’sexperience.Inafterreflectionsparticipantsvaluedverymuchthenatureofthequestionsthatstimulatedfurtherreflectionanddialogue.

2.3 SupportingFeminenza’sInternationalProgrammesStichting Feminenza actively contributes to the implementation of Feminenza’sInternationalProgrammesbyprovidingexpertise,humanresourcesandfinancialsupport.Examplesare:TraumaHealingExperienceErasmus+ThisworkshoptookplaceinOctoberinWaunifor(Wales)withparticipantsof7differentorganizations all professionals working with disadvantaged youths. The project wasfundedby Erasmus+. Erasmus+ is a EUprogramme for education, training, youth andsport for2014-2020,encouragingexchange,collaborationand learning.AfacilitatorofFeminenza Netherlands complemented the team designing and delivering the 5-dayTrauma Healing workshop for this particular group of professionals. In addition,assistance was given to designing the evaluation process (before, during and after).Organizing the logistics for the participants from the Netherlands (workers of theorganizationNIDOS),maintainingcontactwiththempriortoandaftertheTraumaHealingExperience, including the evaluation interviews were taken care of by one of thevolunteers.Thisliaisingrolehasprovenaninvaluableassetinmaintaininggoodrelations.Project‘MyInnerWorld’inTurkeyFeminenza Netherland has offered project consultancy to a Feminenza initiative inTurkey: a series of 10 meetings being concluded in May 2018. During this projectconsultancy to the facilitator, shewasguided tobecomemoreaccountable inprojectmanagement.Effectoftheworkwasthatthewomenfeltempoweredintheirqualities,knowledgeofselfandtheiroptionsanddecisionsinlife.

2.4 NetworkingandpromotionFeminenzaNetherlandscontinuedtoactivelyconnectwithnational networks. One of Feminenza’s volunteers wasinvitedtotakepartintheteamofWomen’sNetworkLeiden(StichtingVrouwennetwerkLeidene.o.)thatwastoorganiseInternationalWomen’sDayon11thMarch2018inLeiden,the theme being ‘Heroic Women in day-to-day Life’. Thecollaboration with this network will continue from theintentiontoseekfuturepartnersandchannelstopromoteFeminenza’swork.

3. OrganisationAsalearninganddevelopingorganizationweaimtomeetexcellentgovernanceandqualitystandardsservingpublicbenefitandeducation.

3.1 Donations,expensesandreservesThemainsourceofrevenueofStichtingFeminenzaconsistsofdonationsfromasolidcoreofparticipantsanddonors.Partoftheincomealsocomesfromworkshopsandfinancialcontributions from the international network towards the development andimplementation of Feminenza’s international programmes. An example of this is thepartialfundingoftheTransformativeLeadershiptrainingforthefiveladies.In2018theFoundationreceived€65.306intheformofdonations,fundingandrevenueofpublications,around€30.000morethanestimated.AlongsidetheexpecteddonationstheFoundation receivedapproximately€15.000 fromFeminenzaUK,whichhasbeenadded to the project reserve of Feminenza International. In addition, the Foundationacquired monies through facilitating workshops to donors of the IGE project, bothnationallyandinternationally.Inthepastyear42,29%oftherevenuehasbeenusedforactivitiesrelatingtotheaims.Fromallexpenditures(costs)93.85%wasusedtowardsfulfillingtheaimsofFeminenza.This also concerns international projects for which Stichting Feminenza Netherlandsmanages the funds. Other expenditureswere operating cost such as office expenses,costsforaccountancyandadministration.Per31December2018thefoundationscapitalwas € 58.289, part of this is € 7.507 general reserve and €46.414 for the benefit ofFeminenzaInternational.Asmallreserveof€39washeldtosupportactivitiesinTurkey.The(public)special-purposereserveof€4.136in2017donatedtoStichtingFeminenzaNetherlandsbyAT&TCares,hasnotbeenused.TheorganisationAT&Thasagreedthattheimplementationoftheplansbeingpostponed.Two-thirdofthereserveofFeminenzaInternationalhasbeenearmarkedforfutureprojectsandone-thirdwillbekepttoinsurecontinuanceoftheservicestheywanttooffer.ForasummaryofthefinancialstatementyouarereferredtoAppendix3(page15).3.2 OrganisationaldevelopmentMost important in 2018 were the integral amendment of the constitution, anddevelopment and implementation of the privacy policy according to EUGeneral DataProtectionRegulationsvalidasofMay25.Workhasstartedtodevelopapolicyandamanualtosafeguardthevulnerable.AlthoughvolunteeringorganisationsintheNetherlandsarenotdirectlyheldbylawtosuchapolicy,we have agreed to expand on the safetywe already provide in thewaywe facilitateworkshops by introducing a code of conduct and certain procedures should a criticalincidentoccur.

3.3 Oversight,fraudandriskmanagementThe board is responsible for the safe and proper conditions under which Feminenzaactivities take place and for guaranteeing the copyright agreements concerningFeminenzaworks.Annuallytheactivityplanisevaluatedandanewversionisestablished,allinlinewiththemulti-annualpolicyandwithwhatismostcurrent.Togethertheyformtheframeworkforimplementation.Followingthebudgetarycycle,theboardhassetthebudget.Thefoundationofthesolidmanagement of finances has been the well organised accounting records, and dualauthorisationinrelationtoapprovalofpayments.Eachquarterthefullboardandstaffhave reviewed the financial and activity reports. Quarterly reports were sent toFeminenza International.Thestandardoperationalprocedures forprojectapplicationsand the reporting on finance and progress by the various projects have proceededaccording to the agreements made previously. In this way good surveillance andmonitoringofprogressisensured.WehavebeenmonitoringtheprojectmanagementoftheprojectbyFeminenzaTurkeyaccordingtothesamestandards.AsinpreviousyearsanaccountancyfirmcompiledtheFinancialStatementfor2018incompliance with Dutch law, including the Dutch Standard 4410,‘Samenstellingsopdrachten’(compilationengagements).ThecompilationreportandthereviewofthefinancialstatementswereinthehandsoftheAccountancyFirmBatenburginSassenheim.Theapproved2018FinancialStatements canbe foundonFeminenza’swebsite.(https://www.feminenza.org/over-ons/annual-reports/?lang=nl)

4. Plansfor2019Plansfor2019arecapturedinStichtingFeminenzaNetherlands’activityplan2018-2022.TheyareaimedatgreaterawarenessofFeminenza’sworkthroughnetworkactivitiesandimprovedwebsite,andincreasedcorporationwithvariouspartners.The‘UnderstandingandManagingFear’, ‘Forgiveness’and ‘TraumaHealing’programmeswillplayamajorpartinthis.Inthecontextofthe7-yearcommitmenttotheprogramme’TransformativeLeadership’moremoduleswillbewrittenandpilotedtowomenthathaveshownaninterestintheinnerwork thatgoeswith transformative leadership.Theseactivities takeplaceundermentoring.Aspartof their future leadershiprole the ladiesareactively introducedtoprinciples of PR, governance and project management and will take on board/staffresponsibilities.The implications of the General Data Protection Regulations (May 25 2018) will befinalizedin2019.ThepolicyonSafeguardingtheVulnerablewillbedevelopedin2019and further implemented in collaboration with the facilitators. Our contribution tointernationalpolicymakingisnoted.

Feminenza’sprinciplesare1. Feminenzabelievesthattheexistenceofthetwogendersimpliesapartnershipto

somethingbetter.Theirunionisdesignedtocreatesomethingthatisastepforwardforhumanity.

2. Thereisaneedforremedyandrebalance,notasareactionagainstthepast,butforthe sake of the future, inwhich there ismuch yet to be understood about bothgenders.

3. Webelievethereisacallforthefemininegendertolearnandgrowtomeetwhatisneedednow,tobeopentothefuture,andtoplayitspartinthenextstepofevolutionandupdateofbothgenders.

4. Weupholdvaluesthatrespecttheuniquenessandsanctityofalllifeandthediversityandnatureofcultures.

5. As world citizens, all part of one human race, we are committed to finding andestablishingtheunifyingperceptionsandvaluesthatbridgethedifferencesbetweenallpeoples.
