Dear family, dear friends, let us pray:

Dear GOD, Father,a week agoyou called your beloved child and servant,our beloved friend, teacher, father and grandfatherKarlheinz Stockhausenhome.He followed your call with joy.

For throughout his whole life, he loved You, he praised You, he venerated You, he thanked You,especially through his music.He said himself that his performances are public prayer“to bring celestial music to humansand human music to the celestial beings,so that Man may listen to GOD and GOD may hear His children.”

His vision of a family of manwhich lives together in peace, love and justiceis expressed in a purely musical language in many of his works, so that all human beings can understand it.In his work SCENTS – SIGNS it is sung: “Dream with me in Heaven of the beautiful people on Earth…”

We would like to cordially thank you for your kind consolation on the occasion of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s return to his heavenly home on December 5th, 2007.

Am 31. Dezember 1997 hatte Stockhausen bereits einen Entwurf für seinGrab gezeichnet. Auf einem Kreis (siehe Rückseite), soll die LICHT-Formel(letzte Superformel vom MITTWOCH, transponiert in die Originaltonhöhender Superformel) mit dem letzten gesungenen Text aus MICHAELION vomMITTWOCH aus LICHT abgebildet werden. Es folgt hier der vollständigeText vom Schluß-Sextett. Die Gedenkstätte ist in Vorbereitung.

On December 31st 1997, Stockhausen designed his grave. The LIGHT-Formula (the final super formula of WEDNESDAY transposed to the originalpitches of the super formula) was to be shown on a circle with the last sungtext in MICHAELION of WEDNESDAY from LIGHT. The complete text ofthe final sextet follows. The memorial is now in preparation.
