Meaning of “STOICHIOMETRY”
Definition of Stoichiometry
Stoichiometry means representing the exact mass or moles of the reactants which are required to react with each other without any wastage and also finding out the exact mass or moles of the product which will be formed.
Stoichiometry is represented by :
Ø A balanced equation Ø In which the coefficients represent the exact
number of moles reacting and getting formed.
Example
Types of Stoichiometry Types Explanation
Mole- Mole We have to relate the moles of the reactants with moles of the product
Mole- Mass We have to relate the moles of the reactants with the mass of the products
Mass- Mole We have to relate the mass of the reactants with the moles of the product
Mass- Mass We have to relate the mass of the reactants with the mass of the products

In today’s video we covered : Ø The meaning of stoichiometry with its definition. Ø Example to simply the meaning Ø A balanced equation represents the stoichiometry
of an equation or reaction. Ø There are 4 types of stoichiometry problems.
