• Character Education is a shortened period at the end of the day where students are in interest groups

SIGNING THE PLEDGE• Informed students about the pledge on Monday

• Mentors sat outside the cafeteria during lunch with iPads asking students to sign the pledge

• After students signed the pledge they received a green rubber bracelet that read “Stop The Stigma”

OVERALL RESULTS• Overall, most students felt

more educated and learned about stigma and how to treat people better.

• 75% of South Allegheny Middle School students signed the pledge to end stigma
