SST product overview

BAE Systems | Stores System Tester

BAE Systems Stores System Tester (SST) provides the warfighter with the demonstrated capabilities in a portable 1-person lift package.

The Stores System Tester (SST) harnesses the capability of virtual instrumentation in a flightline rugged system. Using enhanced commercial instrumentation software, the user sees real time test results in support of Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) and stores station

Stores System Testertroubleshooting information for on-the-spot diagnostic analysis. GUI soft panels provide control of each individual instrument.

A modular mechanical design, coupled with the incorporation of an open architecture instrumentation platform, allows the SST to be easily configured for the needs of the user on a specific platform or enhanced as new weapon systems are deployed.

All test results are time stamped and stored with the tail number, Operational Flight Program Identification (OFP ID), and AME part and serial numbers to establish maintenance traceability.

BAE Systems COTS-based, rugged assemblies for the flightline are designed to support a wide range of platforms and weapon system interfaces.

SST has been fielded for over 10 years supporting the entire USAF, and FMS F-16 world-wide fleets. This “community” of SST user’s has continually developed and added new armament test capabilities to the SST. The benefits are cost effective for all SST user’s that are able to leverage these new capabilities. In 2016 the SST is still in production preparing to deliver the 600th unit.
