STORIES & CONVERSATIONS FOR A LOW CARBON IRELAND This event is part of CONVERGENCE 17 and is organised in with support from DCU, the EPA, Cloughjordan Ecovillage and Friends of the Earth Presentations and discussion with Barry McMullin (DCU) Peadar Kirby (Cloughjordan Ecovillage), Sam Fahy (DCU Community Garden Initiative), Oisin Coghlan (Friends of the Earth, Rowan Oberman (School of STEM Education, Innovation & Global Studies, DCU) and Paul Allen (CAT). Facilitated by Davie Philip (Cultivate). This event is part of the annual CONVERGENCE FESTIVAL 2017, which this year celebrates Ireland’s response to the global challenges we face — through transformative, community-led approaches to meet our climate targets and implement the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for a fair, healthy and low-carbon future. KEYNOTE: PAUL ALLEN Paul Allen, a Director at the Centre of Alternative Energy in Machynlleth in Wales and the editor of Zero Carbon Britain, will share the lessons from the latest Zero Carbon Britain: Making It Happen report and explore how we might empower citizens and catalyse change.
