The Alight Care Center believes that every person has God-given worth. Our vision for our mobile ultrasound unit

(Stork Van) is to reach families facing unplanned pregnancies in our communities with the truth about the value of

human life in the womb. Through the use of state-of-the-art technology, coupled with confidential, non-judgmental,

caring compassion from our mentors, those facing a crisis or unplanned pregnancy will be empowered to choose life

for their unborn baby through the real-time sight and sound of an ultrasound image.

Our mission is to affirm the value of each and every human life and to support and promote positive personal change and growth.

We are a not-for-profit, faith-based organization, created to bring restoration to individuals and families through

HOW DOES GOING MOBILE ACHIEVE THAT VISION?

Alight Care Center is a well-established

Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) that

has been serving the City of Troy and the

surrounding Capital Region of New York State since 1998.

Alight Care Center aims to revive a culture of life in our

community - restoring the truth that every life, born and

unborn, has God-given worth and is worthy or protection.

Having a Stork Van will allow Alight Care Center to offer

ultrasounds in the community, taking life-affirming services

directly to women and men where they live, work and go to

school. This mobility will also bring a greater awareness of

the services and support that are available through a PRC,

while saving unborn babies’ lives not only in the City of Troy,

but in all surrounding communities as well. We looked into

a different type of mobile unit, and after researching other

options we have chosen to partner with Save the Storks.

Like-minded, we both pursue the same goal to save babies

and help women and families in need. Save the Storks offers

an extensive professional package and will work with us to

create a beautiful, custom-built Mercedes-Benz mobile unit.

It can be parked in any parking spot and does not require

a special drivers license to operate, yet is big enough to

provide pregnancy testing and counseling for pregnant

women or women who think they might be pregnant. Save

the Storks has an exclusive partnership with Mercedes-Benz

to build custom-designed mobile pregnancy centers from

Sprinter vans. The van is designed from high-end materials

and superior craftsmanship communicating that we have

made a financial investment because we care for each and

every woman in need and for their unborn baby as well. This

professional mobile setting sends the message that we are

legitimate and trustworthy, and it’s designed to feel inviting,

cozy and comfortable while also communicating that we

care and want each woman to feel comfortable and at ease.

All Stork Vans are equipped with an ultrasound exam

table, ultrasound machine, restroom, and ample seating for

conversations and options counseling. There will also be a

trained ultrasound technician on board, multiple monitors

and media inputs, Wi-Fi internet connection, soft lighting,

a refrigerator, air conditioning, smart mirrors for 360

degree monitoring outside of the vehicle and additional

storage space. The Mercedes-Benz bus is an excellent

investment from a business perspective and provides a

high-quality warranty. The Sprinter is highly efficient and low

maintenance, providing state-of-the-art mobile capabilities

and is equipped with a patented Blue Tech Power Train

engine which is the most environmentally friendly and is the

lowest cost-per-mile vehicle of its class.

Alight is blessed to be an affiliate of Save the Storks. This is

not simply a one-time business transaction, but a long-term

relationship. Their model of partnership includes marketing

tools, strategic planning opportunities, staff training, grants,

and continued monthly operational support.

Modern design to reach millennial women, equipped with beautiful features to provide for the comfort and needs of our clients:

The “Capital Region” consists of the 3 major cities:

Albany, Troy and Schenectady, as well as bordering

Saratoga County all within a 30-40 mile radius of each

other and include 12 four-year/grad school colleges, 7 two -year

colleges and dense Inner City populations.

Historic Downtown Troy is situated along the Hudson River, located

in Rensselaer County, which has a population of 160,000 people.

Albany County which includes the Capital city of Albany which has

a population of 307,000. Schenectady County has a population

of 155,000, and Saratoga County has a population of 224,000.

Within an easy commute of about 30 miles there is an estimated

total population of approximately 850,000 people. This Stork Bus

will allow us to bring free life affirming ultrasounds to abortion

vulnerable women in their own community. We will no longer have

to hope they show up at our PRC when they are in crisis and/or

considering an abortion. In this day and age of fast paced internet

access, people often just go to the internet to get information when

they are faced with an unplanned pregnancy, which can often be

inaccurate, and may not take the time to go to a PRC during open

hours of operation. By going mobile, we provide the convenience

of meeting them where they are. Because of the size of the Sprinter

bus we will park it at various strategic locations on a regular basis

and become a visible ongoing presence in the community!

It has been reported that through mobile ministries, other PRCs

have increased the number of women helped by 400%, resulting

in babies’ lives saved. We pray for that same success in the City of

Troy and the Capital Region at large. It is an honor and privilege to

serve abortion-vulnerable women and men, and to empower them

to choose life for their unborn child through the lens of the Lord’s

compassion for all human life regardless of the circumstances.

WHAT WILL THE MOBILE VAN DO?

The Mobile Van is a traveling billboard on the outside and a safe harbor and refuge on the inside.

Our mobile ultrasound van will cost approximately $130,000 to build and purchase and the ultrasound

machine is estimated at $25,000.

Alight is an IRC §501(c)(3) recognized non-profit organization. All donations are Tax-Deductible. Alight’s covering

organization, Arise & Build Community Ministries, was incorporated in September 1998, in part operating under the

Assuming Name of Alight Care Center For Women; our doors were opened to the public in February 1999. We are

now known simply as the Alight Care Center.
