A hand-out on Storm Preparedness. "We're prepared for storms. Are you?" The hand-out list three things you need to do to get ready for seasonal storms and emergencies. 1. Sign up for Alert Montgomery. Do this by going to https://alert.montgomerycountymd.gov or texting MONTGOMERY to 411 911 from your cell phone. You can choose to get alerts through text, email, or pager. This service is free. Check with your wireless plan to see if text charges with apply. 2. Keep these Phone Numbers Handy. Emergency: 911. Non-Emergency: 301-279-8000 (Police). County Info and Services: 311 or 240-777-0311. MC311 Call Center TTY: 301-251-4850. Utilities: 877-737-2662 (Pepco). BG&E: 877-778-2222. Potomac Edison/First Energy: 1-888-544-4877. WSSC: 301-206-9772. Washington Gas: 703-750-1000. 3. Make an Emergency Kit.
