At the beginning of the film and following a motorbike chase, Ian Rider escapes in a car and then is pursued by a helicopter.

Rider is unaware of the chopper above him and believes that he has escaped and is safe. Then, an individual from the helicopter drops down (upside-down) facing the car.

The individual from the helicopter has a stoic look and Rider is blissfully unaware of the fact that there is someone outside the window of his car.

Then Rider notices the person outside the car and does a double-take to confirm the abnormality outside his window.

There is then a closer shot on the person’s face continuing to stare at Rider with an emotionless face and a slight indication in his focused attention to Rider that he means to kill him following his previous escape.

This shot shows Rider’s response of shock and disbelief to what he is seeing that effectively immobilizes Rider after making eye contact with this stranger.

This rapid shot of the man’s eyes before he acts confirms the fate of Rider and sends a direct message in his eyes that he means to kill Rider.

This final shot of Rider before his death shows his shock in his widened pupils and he has an almost victimized look in his eyes as he feels defenceless from his death.

As the killer draws his guns, the emotional detachment in his eyes reveal an evil nature to his character that does not find the action of murder to negatively influence him.

Then the killer fires his guns and the bullets break through the glass window of the car where the shards of glass create the title of the film and the song “Blame” by Transluzent leading onto the opening credits.
