What is storyboarding?

A storyboard is a tool that maps a learner’s experience through activities in a learning event.

A storyboard is a detailed course plan to help in the development of an eLearning course. It specifies the content that is to be covered, presented screen by screen, based on a logical and educationally sound pathway through the learning. It includes details of the resources the learner will be exposed to and explains how the learner will engage with the material.

Learner experience

You are writing for an experience – not always a narrative, not always simple step by step.

Think in 3D!

• Need to know what it is to be able to write for it.

• Need to write to a deeper level of instructional information.
