This workshop was about finding your story, your passion that drives your work within your communities and discovering the best way to communicate this story to funders, fellow community members and to the local press. How will you now tell YOUR story?

To create a clearer, more focussed idea of how to tell your community/personal story

Recognise your personal strengths/skills

How to use non-verbal communication to your advantage

Remember the Wise Man and the Bowl of Water story?

We identify and have personal connections to stories

True or false they pull and tug at our emotions

Stories open our hearts and when our hearts are open we are open to new ideas and possibilities

Listening exercise – triple head nod, facial expressions, hand gestures

Match ‘Em Up – card game – matching body language signals to their meanings

Hand zones – Gary Barlow!!
