    Early Stralis Euro4 models are complying with the requirements of the current Directive EC 1999/96 for emissions levels.

    Remember that local Homologation of the Early Euro4 range is only possible till end of September 2005.

    From October 1st, 2005 the New Directive 2005/xx –still to be published- is applicable and mandatory for new Homologations:

    If early Euro4 Stralis homologation has not been obtained by end of September 2005 in your market , you will not be allowed to register any Early Euro4 Stralis in your market.

    All EC homologations certificates for Cursor13 480 Hp Early Euro4 models are available. The last EC certificate (noise level) requested to complete 430 Hp certification will available end of June 2005.

  • Early Stralis AS Euro4 market availability is planned in two steps:

    Step1: Germany and Alps Central orders June-July (production from September) - Direct dealer orders September 1st (Production November 2005) Step2 : Other markets: Central orders July -September (production from October) - Direct dealer orders october 1st (Production January 2006)

    · Step1 Logistics milestones Germany & Alps Region Markets: · June-July period (Central Loading): all 00 VMs will be linked to Germany NIC (1100) with availability September 1st 2005.

    Germany market will create the VP for its-self and also for Austria and Switzerland: the VP has to be communicated to our Central Logistic which will provide to insert the RMV

    · Within end of July: activities for PRP/SAP catalogues for Germany and VMs on Product Subsystem for Austria and Switzerland to allow local ordering will be completed

    · Step 2 Logistics milestones Other Markets: · July-September period (Central Loading): orders to be sent to Central Logistics where VPs will be created and orders inserted centrally · October: final VM creation with validity date November 1st 2005 to allow direct dealer orders January 2006 production.

    From a legislation point of view , since final Euro4 requirements are mandatory for registrations from October 1st 2006 , Stralis AS Early Euro4 latest possible production phase-out would be at latest July 31st, 2006. With the availability of final Euro4 line-up starting from the beginning of the second quarter 2006, it is highly likely that phase.-out of early Euro4 will take place end of April 2006 .

    As per previous communications, our recommendations are:

    · No introduction of any Early Euro4 /5 models in 2005 if running cost increased is not balanced by local incentives.

    · Final Euro4 in 2006 to be preferred (total consumption cost improvement versus Euro3, final SCR/urea technology)
