Things You Will Need: EROS II (Plymouth Yarn Company), 1 ball Crochet hook, size K Steel crochet hook, size 1 Yardstick 8mm clear acrylic facet round beads, 30 6 x 9mm pony beads, 4 Scissors Abbreviation: ch(s) = chain(s) sts = stitches Finished Size: Adjustable from 24" to 32" Special Note: This crochet pattern does not include a gauge as it is not a pattern that requires a sized fit. What To Do: 1. String the acrylic facet beads on the end of the yarn. Insert the size 1, steel crochet hook through a bead. Grasp the end of the ribbon yarn with the hook and pull back through the hole. Slide the bead down the length of the yarn and out of the way. Repeat with the remaining 29 facet beads.

2. Crochet necklace strands. Measure a 15" tail. Using the size K hook, make a slip knot and begin ch sts. While chaining this section add 6 facet beads, randomly spaced apart. Every few chs slide one facet bead to the last ch made. Grab the yarn above the bead and continue to ch. Ch and add beads until the length of the chained section measures 16". Measure an additional 15" tail and cut. Pull the tail completely through the last ch to lock the end of the section. Repeat this step for a total of 5 strands.

3. Attach the gathering beads. Bundle the strands together. Line up all 5 tails on one end of the strands. Tie the bundled strands together at the end of the ch section and the beginning of the tails using an overhand knot. Using the steel hook, pull the tails through one pony bead. Repeat on the other end of the bundled strands.

4. From each gathering bead, measure and trim the tails to 12". 5. Make the adjustable connection. Please see the photo below for clarification of the process. Lay the necklace on your work surface with one bundle of tails on the left and the other on the right. Using the steel hook, pull the (A) tails from the left through two pony beads. Tie an overhand knot (twice) at the end of the bundled (A) tails. Trim the tail ends even. Pull the (B) tails from the right through bead 2, then bead 1. Tie an overhand knot (twice) at the end of the bundled (B) tails. Trim the tail ends even. Pulling the beads outward will shorten the necklace. Pulling the bundles on the outside of the beads will lengthen the necklace.
