1 Strategic Communications and Resource Development Report September 10, 2015 Prepared by Lissa Gibbs, Director of NVC Office of Institutional Advancement, with input from NVC Facilities and members of the NVC Outreach Committee, chaired by Oscar DeHaro This report describes communication and program activities currently being conducted or planned related to prioritized areas of institutional public and media relations related to: Enrollment, Engagement, and Resource Development Enrollment Website NVC Web Use Data August 15 – August 30, 2015 o Homepage visits (hits): 75,477 (compared to 85,543 visits for the same time period in 2014) o 34,980 users (compared to 36,574 for same time period in 2014) o 562,541 page views (compared to 278,625 for same time period in 2014) – Global site wide number o 69.5% of users are return users, 30.5% new for this period in 2015 (compared to 71.5% return user, 28.5% new for this period in 2014) Direct Mailings 201516 NVC Performing Arts o Season Guide 6,000 printed, 4,000 directly mailed to past ticket buyers o Masters Series Postcard – 4,000 printed, 3,500 directly mailed 2016 Spring Enrollment/BestColleges.com o Postcard – 45,000 to be printed, 43,000 directly mailed to all residential postal customers in Napa County (November) o Printed Abridged Schedule of Classes (under discussion for October mailing) Social Media Multiple daily posts in NVC main Facebook and Instagram and Tweets/ReTweets on Twitter o Facebook friends as of 9/9/15: 2,340 (up from 2,134 in July) o Average weekly Facebook “reach” of 14,000 for the last 30 days (average # of weekly engagements: 650) o Twitter followers as of 9/9/15: 428 (up from 339 in July) o Instagram followers as of 9/9/15: 436 (from 366 in July) o Weekly Email promotions to “Friends of NVC” list via Constant Contact (4,500 active contacts): Enrollment reminders, “Upcoming Events at NVC”(monthly distribution), special event notices, and announcements o LinkedIn: 6,245 alumni as of 9/9/15 (up from 6,026 in June) o NVC Communicate messages in August and September to all enrolled and previously enrolled (from spring 2015) students (10,000+): Fall 2015 latestart class list, available class list, reminder to explore alternative classes, link to list of open classes, and availability of NVC counselors for walkin appointments o Communications Management messages to: !
