Streamline Automation FAQs:

Where are you located and how long have you been in business? We are located in Huntsville, Chelsea Business Park, off Triana Blvd., south of Airport/Johnson Road. We opened in 2002.

How big is your facility? Our three buildings total 15,000 sq. ft. of covered space and include: an office space (5,000 sq. ft.), a large workshop area (6,500 sq. ft.) for fabrication and assembly of components and systems, and a laboratory space (3,500 sq. ft.) including an Electronics Assembly Shop, a Chemistry Lab, a Biology Lab and an Inspection Lab.

How many people do you have? We have 15+ personnel on staff and others available as needed. Our staff includes various levels of accreditations including PE, PhD, MS and BS. Most have experience ranging from 15 to 30 years.

What mechanical design software do you use? We use SolidEdge which is a 3D software product that is compatible with all other 2D and 3D programs.

What controls products do you use? Per project, we use our Customer's preferred PLC and HMI products such as Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Omron, GE Fanuc, and many others. We also are experienced with a myriad of motor, robotic and fastening controllers or drives, vision, RFID, LVDT, laser, barcode and various electronic device control systems. We also use LabVIEW for data collection and management.

What controls communications do you have experience with? Ethernet IP, Profibus, Devicenet, RS232, RS 485, Analog, Fiber Optic and other Isolated I/O interlocks.

What quality systems does Streamline Automation have? We are an ISO 9001 certified company. Our suppliers are certified to ISO 9001, AS 9100 and A2LA.

Does Streamline Automation have other license? We have a Federal Firearms License for the purpose of providing manufacturing and test equipment to firearms manufacturers.

What metalworking type machines do you have? Powered cut-off, CNC & Manual Milling Machines, CNC & Manual Lathes, Hydraulic press, Welder, Media blaster, misc bench size power and manual tools. We also utilize various machine tool and fabrication shops for applicable project work.

What Companies has Streamline Automation worked with? Air Force, MDA, Navy, NASA, Department of Energy, Curtiss-Wright, Federal Mogul, Kommerling, Mitchell Plastics, PPG, Procter & Gamble, Navistar, Remington, Toyota and many others.

What are your project capabilities? Manufacturing and test equipment from design through finished machine or mechanism. Integration and upgrade existing equipment. Conceptual design and proposal. Mechanical, controls and software design. R&D products from design to full prototype. Contract manufacturing.

Does Streamline Automation have any business certifications? We are a small business per the Government's definition and we are located in a HUB zone.

Target stand with radio controlled target paper index or jog. Jog paper at stand controls box or remote control box. Range is 200 yards plus and includes signal indicator. Low paper light indicates low paper supply. AR400 armor steel used at vulnerable areas.
