for a few thousand dollars and now works as a mobile app developer for an international start-up while living in Makhachkala.

Prayermat is a pressure-sensing mat for performing namaz that helps a devout user count rakaats (bows). The mat conforms to Sharia law and has no buttons. It is activated with two touches of the worshiper’s forehead with the

mat. After prayer, the mat turns off automatically. It has good screen readability in bright light and in the dark.
