Packaging facilities can have different levelsof automation.

They combine conveying equipment and ded-icated 'stations' where manual packagingactivities are carried out, or automaticmachines are integrated:circumference strapping machinescoil-eye strapping machinespaper/plastic feeding and winding machinesstretch film wrapping machines

Coils diameter and width are measured ondedicated stations as well as coil centring,weighing, inlet-label scanning, marking, labelprinting and label application.

The packaging line can also be enhanced byassembly surveillance systems:fully integrated control for data administration('tracking') and linkage with the productionmanagement systemon-line remote diagnosis and assistance.
