When & Why: I chose this job when I got out of high school because I always had was interested in construction and how buildings were designed.

Job Life
Environment: Generally I work indoors in an office, However I do get to spend time on construction sites to monitor operations and solve problems at the site.
Favorite part of it all: The People.
Salary: $77,560 yearly. $37.29 hourly.

Courses
Engineering Design-Design products requiring principles of design.
Masonry Structures-Intro to Masonry design code.
Mechanics of Solids-Elastic deformations and stress in 2D structures.
Challenging
Advanced Steel Design- Learning to make structures out of steel strong enough to withstand earthquakes.
Advanced Structural Analysis- 2D and 3D trusses and frames, emphasis on matrix methods.
Getting through the courses required a lot of studying and practice with the programs we used.
Helpful Resources- The school has many research labs for advanced study and research.
Degrees and After School
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Licenses- One in all 50 states for Engineering
Personality- Many of my co-workers would call me a friendly hard working person.
