Structure properties of rotor yarn:
In rotor yarn fibers are straightened and rotor rotates. Here a yarn is inserted into the rotor and pulled. This pulling of yarn is regarded as draft
As continuation of fiber is broken. So it is also called break spinning auto core yarn.
There is a twist difference between the sheat and core. Some fibers slips and not twisted while collecting fibers from the rotor groove, so it is difficult to measure the twist in rotor yarn.
Main drawback of rotor yarn is less strength than ring yarn. It is about 15-20% less strength than ring yarn.
Absence of migration which fails to give coherent structure of yarn. Sometimes fibers are not twisted in the main portion, Hence the fibers are
wrapped on the yarn surface. This fibers can not incrase the strength of yarn.
Some fibers are hooked , bent so the fibers extent in rotor yarn. In ring spinning the fibers are straight due to more draft . the fibers migrate
in the twist triangle zone. So more coherent structure the rotor yarn. In reality,ring spun yarn is two dimensional ribbon forming structure and
rotor yarn shows three dimensional prismatic form.
