SUCCESS STORY

Er.RAJ MANTHANWAR

GE T&D (I) Ltd. (Alumnus of First Batch)

1996-2000

After finishing college, on 23 rd of September 2000, I got my first job with the Indian system Integrator of French MNC. I Joined with a very heavy heart for the tiny salary. I was a part of team takes care of design and development of process Instrumentation in paper & cement industries. There I really understood the analogy of theory and actual things in engineering. With some 3 years of working along with them, I learnt a lot on site process automation and practical difficulties in engineering. Being a blend of Power and Automation Engineering in me, I decided to shift myself and apply my automation skills in Power, which that time was very popular in country. But for that I needed, was a job change, but this time I started to pursue a job with some big companies, preferable MNC. Then I got selected in ABB India Limited, saw MNC culture and then in 2012 got a very good leadership opportunity in GE India. I always treated my work place with Godliness & Discipline, loved my job & its responsibilities and excelled in every assignment given by my employer. I always tried to learn from others, no matter he/she is a junior or senior to me. We suffered through a very bad phase in Industry and unfortunately still leaving foot prints, in that time rather than complaining about the appraisals, I always praise what I was given and rendered the best I could do. Thankful to my decision made with my first job, where despite of low pay I stayed a good period to learn. So sometimes it is smarter to stay, learn, wait, watch and move. Choose your future job/field with your capabilities not wish, wish may change with time but your capabilities always remains. I am always thankful to my all Respected Teachers, Mentors, my family, friends and colleagues , who supported me in all the ways of life.

The foremost important things in my life which I adapted …. - Be presentable, humble and good listener

- Be focused ,inclusive, curios , analytical ,adaptive/agile , decisive ,compliant ,innovative and have courage.

- Always welcome different perspective and support changes , be a team player

- Time management is key area on professional and personal front.
