CONTINUUMN OF SERVICESThe continuum of services identifies different service delivery models to provide specially designed instruction to a student eligible for special education services.

MOVING FORWARD
• Write District 304 ALOP grant
• Work independently of Mid-Valley Special Education Cooperative
• Utilize reimbursement for additional services to support students – Social Work,
Special Education, etc.
• Collaborate with outside agencies to provide targeted interventions to support
students
CURRENT PROGRAM
Students receive instruction from a special education teacher, outside of the regular education environment, for four periods of the day.
• Language Arts (2 periods)
• Math
• Life Skills (in lieu of Social Studies)
Students receive instruction within the regular education classroom with support for four periods of the day.
• PE
• Science
• Exploratory Classes
• Study Hall
PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS for 2018-19
• Provide students the opportunity to be instructed by a special education teacher in
the content areas of Science and Social Studies.
• Add a vocational component to the program.
• Provide students enhanced opportunities related to independent living skills.

WHY?
• Deliver special education services within the students’ home district
• Provide students the opportunity to mainstream with peers while also receiving
targeted instruction at their level
• Deliver services through an integrated model
• Continue to challenge our students in the academic, functional, and vocational arenas

Most new students have social/emotional and/or behavior concerns.
Early Intervention Students: 18 (through June 2018)
Current students: Several students may be dismissed this year due to increased performance.
