Student Teaching Weekly Log Directions: Answer these questions each week and email them to your student teaching supervisor by Sunday evening. Name: Jessica Calhoun Week: 5 1. How did you spend your time this week? What responsibilities did you have? This week I officially started 3 rd and 4 th grade on their Day of the Dead lesson, and K-2 nd got to paint their finished fired clay projects, which I facilitated. 2. What were your most satisfying experiences? What were your most challenging experiences? My most satisfying moment this week was when I had a particularly difficult fourth grader, who from the start of my lesson was really trying to size me up. But I did not falter, and by the end of class he was listening and participating with everyone else. Some times those moments can be stressful and hard to handle, but I thought it went good! 3. What are the plans for the upcoming week? My plans for the upcoming week is to continue K-2 nd grades lesson (we are now done with painting), continue with 3 rd and 4 th . 5 th grade is finishing up clay, so I am having them critique their finished masks as part of a reflection project for our meeting with the other district art teachers Wednesday, the 4 th !
