WHAT WE DO FOR YOU:THE TOP TEN Your feedback, through the Student Opinion Survey (SOS), Academic Council and Ideas to Action, helps us to identify ten key issues affecting you as students at the University of Bath. These issues are the focus of our work and campaigning for the year. Last year achievements included: anonymous marking implemented, where practical, for assessments; University agreement to build a 3G sports training area; additional microwaves in the Student Centre; and a gold button reporting mechanism for access issues on campus.

HOW WE REPRESENT YOU: University level - we sit on over 50 principal committees and ensure that your views are considered in University decisions.

Locally - we work with groups including the local residents’ associations and local council to discuss matters that impact on you.

Nationally - as part of the National Union of Students (NUS), we speak at conferences and take part in campaigns on issues affecting you.

every area, such as Sports or Societies, is run by an Executive Committee. Make sure you feedback your views to your committees about ways to improve your area and to influence change within your SU and the University.

make real and positive change to university, local or national issues. Running your own campaign or helping others with theirs is a way you can make the lives of students better. The SU will be there to help and support you throughout any campaigns you want to do, from financing the campaign all the way to marketing it. Student activism is a big part of university life and the SU is here to enable all of our students to be a part of it. Be the change you want to see.
