This iconic New Yorker nightclub was named after it’s location on West 54th Street. The owners created a hype around the club, by carefully selecting the right guests by appearance and celebrity status. The celebrities came to Studio 54, not only for the open drug use, but also for the Disco music, to which they could dance freely, in the settings of Studio 54’s spectacular interior and lighting design. Vodka was popular in the 70s, and one of Studio 54’s most active and prominent guests, Andy Warhol, designed the advertisement for Absolut Vodka. In this cocktail, Warhol’s Vodka meets our take on drugs – the cannabis seeds, poppy flower cordial and we add seasonal fruits such as apple and quince.
