Whether you dream of travelling the world, making international friends, working abroad or being an international pop star, learning English will open doors and can be a lot of fun too!

The Gallery Teacher Academic Programme focuses on aspects of language students need to communicate and progress in an ever more globalized world and presents this in dynamic and stimulating ways.

Language skills and knowledge are taught in an active and dynamic way and lessons are designed within the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This means that whether you have zero English (A1) or have reached proficiency level (C2), our classes will help you take the next step on your language learning journey.

All our school partners are accredited by:

We also arrange groups of students for TELC, Trinity and Cambridge exams as required. Our school partners are registered examination centres for the following exam bodies:

> Dynamic, qualified teachers:

All our teachers are dedicated English language professionals, recruited because of their excellent qualifications and passion for education. They use their skill and enthusiasm to combine quality lessons with innovative methods, and use a wide range of materials, media and different technologies to do this. They are all fully qualified by the relevant accreditation bodies’ standards including British Council, ACCET and ACELS, representing the highest calibre of English teaching.

> Accurate level-testing

It is vital that every student studies at the best level of English to help them progress. For this reason, before students start lessons, they will do a level test. The outcome of this test, along with their age and nationality will allow for them to be placed in the most suitable class.

> Learning Materials:

All of the learning materials used are included in the programme.

> Individual Certificates:

Every student receives a certificate of attendance on departure.

To help students along on their language learning journey, our teachers take into account the individuals in the classroom and adapt the lesson content to the needs and characteristics of each group. The lessons, based on targeted content or workshops to engage the students’ interests, allow them to:

• experience different cultures first-hand

• develop background knowledge about a topic

• focus on new and challenging goals

• increase their self-esteem

• practise all the essential language skills

• expand vocabulary and consolidate knowledge of grammar

ACADEMIC PROGRAMMEEnglish study with a difference for a global generation of learners!

From excursions to places of cultural and historical interest to sporting events and team building activities, our programme designers and activity leaders try their hardest to put the EXTRA into extra-curricular.

We have run Olympic Games sporting competitions, arranged Easter Egg Hunts around places of local interest, simulated the Eurovision Song Contest with karaoke and taken more group selfies than you can post on Instagram!

On our sightseeing excursions, students get the opportunity to learn about the history and cultural significance of what they are seeing, and to really make the most of this immersion experience they also have the chance to ask questions to the local experts in museums and galleries, or chat to our friendly activity leaders. Inside or outside the classroom, there is always more to learn!

CULTURAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMMELife outside of the classroom is often what students treasure most and at Gallery Teachers we put on a

range of activities that encourage students to make new friends, have fun and simply enjoy their holiday! 5

There are always staff at the school or centre who are trained to give first aid and provide child protection, and in addition activity leaders are always present during afternoon and evening activities, as well as on excursions. These points of contact are friendly an approachable and will support students if they have any worries or concerns.

Arrival

All our groups are met by a member of Gallery Teachers or school staff wearing a staff T-shirt and ID badge to ensure a everything goes smoothly when travelling from the airport to the school. Individuals and small groups are personally met and greeted by licensed drivers at the arrival gate. On arrival at the school, there is a senior member of staff ready to greet the students and answer any immediate questions.

Before the start of their classes, students receive a tour of the school and a full induction covering the school facilities and welfare & safety provision including emergency procedures. Students are told who to contact if they encounter any problems or need any help.
