• Reciprocal exchange agreement means there are no additional tuition fees to pay
• Students can study at Swansea for:
o Full academic year (September - June)
o 1 semester (Sept–Jan or Jan–June)

Available subjects • All of our Academic Colleges offer modules (“courses”) that can
be selected by exchange students
• However, there are some restrictions – our module catalogue details those which are not open to exchange students
o E.g. In Medicine, only Genetics and Biochemistry modules are available to exchange students
o E.g. Places on Biosciences modules are limited

Module selection • Full year students can
select up to 120 Swansea University credits (= 36 US credits)
• Semester students can select up to 60 Swansea University credits (= 18 US credits)
• Semester students will need to select modules that are taught and examined in the semester they are at Swansea
• Students can select modules from:
o Year 1 (HE Level 4)
o Year 2 (HE Level 5) modules
• Year 3 (HE Level 6) modules may be open to students with relevant subject experience
• Level M modules cannot be selected

Accommodation • The University has
residences on both campuses
• We do not guarantee accommodation to exchange students but will assist them in finding University or private sector accommodation
• Students only apply for accommodation after we have accepted them

• You will have to nominate your students to us
• Your students complete Swansea University application form
• Application deadlines:
o 15th May for September entry
o 30th October for January entry
• Semester students can apply for a 6 month student visitor visa
