• The conduct of the study dealt with the third year Industrial Design students
INTRODUCTION
The study found out with the study habits of third year Industrial Design students that lead to empirical data how some of them manage to have an outstanding grade while the others have an average grade and some fail.
The study would manifest the study habits of students who marks adequately and failure.

1. What are the study habits of third year Industrial Design students from College of Fine Arts and Design?
2. What is the rate of the third year Industrial Design student dean’s listers of College of Fine Arts and Design during school year 2012 - 2013?

This study also aid all students majoring Industrial Design especially the average students to improve their study habits and their grades

This would be a lot of help for those students who experience failure several times.

Stratified sampling method was employed in conducting the survey to determine the students from the dean’s list from the average students from the two sections of the third year students from College of Fine Arts and Design major in Industrial Design.

A survey-type questionnaire were given to the respondents for data gathering.

The data gathered from the questionnaires answered by the third year Industrial Design students were analyzed and tabulated to determine the rate of the students who excel in the class to the average students
The other data gathered from the survey were summarized and interpreted using graphs, charts and percentage analysis for easier understanding.

The conducted study revealed that the GPA of the students from the third year Industrial Design got lower from the pervious semester during the school year 2012 – 2013 compared to their GPA during their second year and first year.

The study also revealed that there are no third year Industrial Design students from the dean’s list of the previous semester school year 2012 - 2013.
This was the cause of low grades of the students due to their somehow ineffective study habits to the level of difficulty of the subjects in third year.

CONCLUSIONAfter the study has been conducted, it can be concluded that:
Different study habits work for different students in third year Industrial Design. A student just have to determine what would be effective to submit plates on time and to get higher grades

Being a CFAD student takes lot of effort and lack of sleep while during plates and studying for academic subjects.

A study can be conducted to determine the study habits of all students from the four (4) different courses in College of Fine Arts and Design.

The same study can also be conducted from different colleges in University of Santo Tomas to help every student on their chosen course.
A study can also be conducted from the irregular students to help them get higher grades and avoid experiencing failure again.
