Topics I. NISARGARAMYA PUNE The topic is concerned with Pune’s natural beauty. Entrants may submit photographs of nature, highlighting the diversity of life in Pune. The photograph may show plant life, animal behavior, portraits of urban flora and fauna in natural habitat, natural landscapes, weather or people interacting with nature in Pune. [Entrants must not submit images that involve the willful harassment of wildlife, damage to the environment by the photographer, or put any plant or animal in danger] II. WAARASA PUNYACHA The topic is concerned with the glorious heritage buildings, structures and architecture of Pune. Entrants may submit photographs of any of the Heritage structures or sites of Pune, which may serve as a visual record and a window for the future generations to experience the old Pune. III. ASSAL PUNERI Entrants may submit photographs depicting the everyday life of Pune, its street culture and original charm, or intelligently portray the paradoxes of Pune on the backdrop of its hidden old world appeal. 4. Locale The photograph may be shot only within the boundaries of Pune city. 5. Submission Guidelines • The photograph may be portrait or landscape, in colour or black & white • Photographs must be submitted in the dimension 8X12 inches. • Prints must be taken on photographic paper. 1. Categories

I. NISARGARAMYA PUNE

The topic is concerned with Pune’s natural beauty. Entrants may submit photographs of nature,

highlighting the diversity of life in Pune. The photograph may show plant life, animal behavior,

portraits of urban flora and fauna in natural habitat, natural landscapes, weather or people

interacting with nature in Pune.

• Photographs must be submitted in the dimension 8X12 inches.

• Prints must be taken on photographic paper. Prints must not be matted, mounted or framed.

• Participant may submit not more than one photograph under one topic.

• The participant may submit entries under any one, two or all three of the topics.

CARNIVAL / COMPETITIONS / EXHIBITIONS

• Each Submission must include:

I. 1 Photograph

II. CD with the soft copy of the high resolution original file of the photograph

III. Personal Details — Photographer’s Name, Age, Address, Contact Number, Email ID.

IV. Photograph Details — Topic, Location where the shot was taken, Short Description, Caption

• All photographs should accurately reflect the subject matter and the scene as it appeared.

• Photographs that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust,

cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified.

Images that do not meet these requirements may or may not be judged at the judging panel's sole

discretion.

• Entries must be submitted on or before 12th February 2013 at the said address.

6. Submission Address

Indradhanush Environment Centre, Opposite Sachin Tendulkar Jogging Track, Near Mhatre

Bridge, Rajendranagar, Pune 411030.

7. Rights

• If your photograph is formally selected as a part of the exhibition or as one of the prize winners,

you grant ALERT a royalty-free, nonexclusive right, in perpetuity, to:

I. Use the photograph in support of our mission of environmental awareness.

II. Use the photograph in ALERT non-commercial communications.

• The photographer would be credited for the use of the photograph through various media.
