DIWALI CELEBRATION The Divine International (Residential) School Parwanoo organised a Rangoli Competition on the occasion of Pre Diwali celebration. Students of all houses participated in the event and showcased their creativity with different colours. Mr. Ashok and Mrs. Kailash has played the role of judges. Sapphire and Opal houses shared the first prize. Emerald and Amber houses bagged the second position. Chairman Mr. Rakesh Bhandari,V.C. Mrs. Renu Bhandari, Principal Mr. Daljeet Singh Rana and Teachers applauded the students efforts. PRE DIWALI CELEBRATION (DIYA MAKING COMPETITION) The Divine International School (Residential) Parwanoo Chakki Mor organized pre Diwali Celebration. There was Diya Making and house board decoration competition. In house board competition Mr. Amit, Mr. Uma Dutt played the role of judges. Sapphire House got I st position for best House Board Decoration. Opal house got 2 nd and amber got 3 rd position. Chairman Mr. Rakesh Bhandari, VC Mrs. Renu Bhandari, Principal Mr. Daljeet Singh Rana appreciated the efforts of students. ATHLETICS BRING LAURELS TO THE SCHOOL DIS Students participated in Sports meet organized by Sports and Cultural Council Parwanoo on the occasion of Dussehra.In Athletic meet students bagged best Trophy. In the age group under 10 girls 100m race Meenakshi from 5 th class , Arshpreet from 4 th class got 1 st and 3 rd Position. In the age group under 14 girls 200m race Harshita from 9 th class, Savi from 7 th class and Payal from 8 th class got 1 st ,2 nd and 3 rd Positions respectively.In under14 boys 200m race Taranjeet , Dipesh and Kartikay from 9 th class got 2 nd and 3 rd Position. In Volly Ball Match Rohan from class 9 th declared as Best Player. Chairman Mr. Rakesh Bhandari ,VC Mrs. Renu Bhandari ,Principal Mr.Daljeet Singh Rana and Teachers congratulated to the players and sports Instructors Mr. Surender and Mr. Dharam Pal. GREEN HOUSE & GO GREEN The students of VII, VIII, IX and X class prepared models on the topics “Green House “and “Go Green”. Students told about the importance of forest and aware the students by giving the message to protect forests. They also suggest many ways to increase area under forest. Principal Mr. Daljeet Singh Rana, Chairman Mr. Renu Bhandari and Incharge Ranjana Rana encourage the students for their creative efforts. CHANGE OF CURRENCY A special assembly was organized for the student to aware them about the government decision related to scrap rupees 500 and rupees 100 currency note. Principal Daljeet Singh Rana discussed the whole issue with teachers and students and made them aware the benefits of government’s bold decision. He explained that this move will aim at curbing the negative impact on fake currency, black money, corruption and terrorism. The students were explained about the merits and demerits of television. Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

QUALITIES THAT MAKE A SUCCESSFUL STUDENT Successful students know how to focus on their studies when it matters whiles also taking breaks when they need them. They can manage their time wisely, strict to their studies and make the most of their time in classroom. Qualities of a successful student:

1 A successful student always give studies a priority. It is very important to make time for friends, family, extracurricular activities. he should never neglect the time he need to spend studying. So Don’t strees, Do your best, Forget the rest”.

2 A successful student should always be punctual. He should develop the habit of judging the time and learn how to arrive where you need on to be time. So “Showing up is half the battle.”

3 A successful student should always work with honesty. He should avoid copying, avoid cheating at all costs. He should not fall under peer pressure and group thinking. It can be dangerous and can keep away you from reaching your potential. So ‘Honesty is highest form of intimacy.”

4 A successful student should focus on task at hand. if he have one chapter of learn for an hour, he need to commit to doing so instead of letting his mind wander. Take 10 minutes break if you need .don’t let it run over into an hour. So “Just keep pushing and stay focused. The hard work will pay off.”

5 A successful student never compares himself from others. They don’t care what their brother, neighbor, classmates does in school because they know all that matters is their own success. So, “Comparison is an act of violence against the self”.

6 A successful student should be proud of himself for every little bit of improvement that he make. Don’t get bogged down by not getting the perfect grade which he hoped for. So “Be proud of who you are and not ashamed of how others see you.”

7 A successful student should be passionable for knowledge which help him to be improve. So “Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.”
