Coventry and Rugby CCG• Responsible for a population of over 450,000 people.• Partnership between Coventry and Rugby GP commissioners to form a new CCG, reflects our common interests in commissioning services from University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.• Committed to buying high quality services for people.

How are we going to involve local people?Shared decision making between the patient

and the NHS:

• Individual patient and their Choice in which hospitals patients attend

• Involvement in the commissioning and re-design of services.

How can we involve the third sector?• The CCG is looking at innovative ways of supporting the local

population to help people:

- Live independently- Stay healthy and recover quickly from

illness- Have as much control over their own lives

as possible- Live with, and/or look after; their family- Participate as active and equal citizens- Have the best possible quality of life

• We know that voluntary and community groups are the experts when it comes to understanding what local people think of local health services and support available.
