Compete against other P.E. teachers in this fun and active session. Ramp Shot involves tossing, catching, hand-eye coordination and teamwork, making it the perfect yard game for any PE program. St. Charles Rehabilitation [email protected] Session 2- D113 A supervised strength and conditioning program is critical for enhancing athletic performance while mitigating orthopedic sports-related injuries on the inter-scholastic level. A comprehensive, evidence-based training program will supplement individual and team success when tailored to the athletic demands of a particular sport. This program will include: foundations of strength and conditioning, basic program design, common orthopedic conditions/injuries associated with the high school athlete, injury prevention management, and maximizing sports performance. Mindfulness is the ability to stay present in this moment as it is. Students will learn some basic yoga poses to be able to sit comfortably. They will learn breathing and meditation techniques that create a sense of ease allowing them to be present and mindful. This has far reaching benefits in school and beyond in their lives. Each student's individual needs are met as they work at their own pace in a supportive, fun environment. Donna works in part with BOCES Arts in Education. 1. In July 2018, the State created new regulations for the implementation of Social Emotional Learning into school curricula. This program will explain the details regarding this new mandate and offer suggestions for implementing these regulations into both the health and physical education setting. 2. The Growth Mindset is a researched based and supported theory that instructs students how to change their mindsets for success in all aspects of life and school. 3. Combining instruction of the Growth Mindset with the new SEL Regulations will provide students with a strong foundation to achieve inner personal growth as well as stability and success.

Rugby is free flowing and continuous as players work as a team to move the ball across their opponent’s goal line to score a try. The rules are simple, the game is easy to learn, and minimal equipment is required. (SPE)

POUND Fitness is a full-body cardio jam session, that is perfect for K-12 Physical Education Programs. Pound class combines light resistance weighted Ripstix with constant simulated drumming motions. The workout focuses on cardio fitness that includes Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics, and isometric poses to strengthen and sculpt muscles. This training is open to healthcare professionals and concerned members of the community including parents, educators, and students over the age of 18.
