Introduction:- This document gives a crisp understanding about the various
career paths available to you to reach your aspired role.
You will be able to see vertical paths, which are Direct Career
Paths, within a particular job family; and, LOB suggested
career paths which reflects the growth across job families and
SL.
This will enable you to make an informed decision to aspire for
your dream job in HCL. Once you have made this crucial
decision you can follow the following steps to make this dream a
reality
How to use this document:-
Know your current job family, job and Career Level that you have been currently mapped to(available in the top right corner of Career Connect)
There are 2 paths that can be checked: Direct and LOB Suggested Career Paths
Direct Path: Shows the vertical Career Growth within the same Job family
LOB Suggested Career Path: Shows the paths which have suggested by respective LOB Academies across job families
Find the required Direct Path in slides in 8-20
Find the required LOB Suggested Career Paths in slides 21-32
Choose aspired role and input the same in “My Career Aspiration” in Career Connect

order to build your
own career and to
take the next leap by
following 4 simple
steps and submitting
your CDP
Steps to be taken:-
Login to Career Connect portal
Stage 1: Aspiration- In this stage you can
input 2 roles and skills you want to aspire
for in the organization.
Stage2:Discussion-You have 5 Career
Enablers / Counselors who will help you reach your aspired role. You can choose any one of them as mandatory. The 5 counselors that you can choose are: RM, SLM, HR, Coach, Skill expert
Stage3:Finalize-Post discussion input the role that you have finalized on aspiring for your career growth
Stage 4: Create your Career Developmental Plan(CDP) using inputs provided by your counselors and you will be able to see the iLearn curriculums for your aspired role. Complete and submit your CDP, to start applying for IJPs open for your finalized aspired role for which now you are technically deployable ready.
