Please find attached the Notice of a Draft Site Plan and Notice of Final Public Meeting (Notice)

for the Sumac Ridge Wind Project. As described in the Notice, wpd Canada Corporation (wpd)

is planning to engage in a onshore wind power project, known as the Sumac Ridge Wind Project

(previous names included Ballyduff Wind Farm and Sedge Hill Wind Farm), with a maximum

contract nameplate capacity of 11.5MW. This project is located just east of Ballyduff in the City

of Kawartha Lakes, in the former Township of Manvers. This class 4 wind energy project is

subject to the issuance of a Renewable Energy Approval (REA) through the Ministry of the

Environment. Notice of a Draft Site Plan and Notice of Final Public Meeting for this project will

be published in ‘Kawartha Lakes This Week’, on April 19, 2012 and ‘The Lindsay Post’ on April

17, 2012. wpd Canada has retained ORTECH Environmental (ORTECH) to assist them in the

REA process for this project.

The Notice also serves to notify the public of the second project meeting, which will take place

on Tuesday June 19, 2012 from 5:30 to 8pm at Rolling Hills Public School in Bethany.

As a component of this process wpd has prepared a Draft Renewable Energy Approval

submission. A written copy of this report is being made available for public inspection at the
