PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1) April, 2015 – Present:

Presently, working as Field Engineer- SLS with BAKER HUGHES INTEQ posted in Kuwait.

Responsibility’s:

• Sampling: Collection of drilled samples at specified lagged intervals. Washing, sieving and drying followed by packing and labeling. Microscopic examination of samples and their interpretation. Determination of shale density and shale factor. Determination of calcimetry. • Monitoring drilling parameters for signs of imbalance of down hole. Monitoring of hole filling parameters during all trips. • Handling of core samples which include recovery, orientation sampling (packing & sealing). Preparation of required core logs and reports. • Preparing well logs and final well reports, which include Master log, D'exp plot, Composite Logs, Shale Density & Shale Factor Plots, Drilling parameters, Bit details, Gas analysis data, Casing & Cementation data etc. • Gas Detection: Continuous separation of Hydrocarbon gases C1, C2, C3, iC4, nC4 and nC5. Prepare Gas Ratio Plot to obtain formation productivity. • Installation, operation, maintenance, calibration and trouble shooting of different equipment’s of mud logging unit. • Pressure evaluations and analysis of control indicators (D’exp, Sigma, Shale factor, Shale Density), monitor the shutting & circulation pressure and report to well control personals as needed. • Assist the drill site personals in determining mud densities required, for safe drilling. • Monitoring pumping data during kick circulations and necessary operations. Identify probable cause of kick and recommending actions to prevent further occurrence. • Maintaining the pre – kick control data when mud or drilling parameters change.

• Ensured HSE rules are followed during drilling operations.

2) September, 2012 – March, 2015:

Worked as WELLSITE GEOLOGIST with SOUTH WEST PINNACLE EXP. P/L and having experience in Coal Bed Methane (CBM) and Coal.

Responsibility’s:

Detailed lithological description of core samples and non-core samples (chip) and identifying

stratigraphic horizon.

Extrapolation of Core Log data.

Coal seam identification, Borehole correlation and closing.

Choosing coal samples for further analysis like desorption test, adsorption isotherm study, proximate

analysis, ultimate analysis etc.

Calculation of OGIP and Gas Saturation of coal seams.

Interpretation of geophysical log data.

Done Field Mapping, Floor Contouring and Structural Map preparation, Profile Section preparation,

Isopach Map and locating the core well.

Preparation of Litholog, Floor Contour Maps, Geological Maps, Seam structure etc by using software

like Log Plot 7, Rockware15, AutoCAD, MapInfo, Surfer, ArcGis10, PETREL 2010.2.2, SURPAC 6.1.4

etc.

Over All Analysis, Band by Band Analysis Advice, Joint Measurement Certificate (JMC) and

Descriptive log preparation etc.

Dealing with Client Geologist in field and office and also for clearing MPR.

Proposing of New Boreholes with sufficient reasoning.

Prepared all the reports like DDR, MPR, and INTERIM REPORT etc.

Also given the responsibilities of In-Charge Geologist of the project in absence of Sr. Geologist from

past 1.5 year.

Knowledge about drilling and different drilling accessories like, casing, liner, different drill bits, etc.

Also given the responsibilities for forest clearance of a new block in North Karanpura Coalfield.

3) September 2010- August 2012:

Worked as Junior Research Fellow, Hydrogeology (CSIR-UGC NET Qualified, 2009), Department of

Applied Geology, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

Responsibility’s:

Field studies of Geological and Geomorphological characteristics.

Collecting groundwater samples throughout the area during pre-monsoon and post-monsoon.

Collecting acidic samples for heavy metal analysis, specifically Arsenic.

Collecting soil samples for analysis.

Recording of well fluctuations in pre- and post-monsoon.

Noting the abnormalities in skin, teeth and other organs of the villagers.
