WINTER 2015

We are proud to serve the creative needs of students of all ages, and we invite you to enrich your life in one of our many courses this summer.

Does your teen enjoy drawing or painting, or have an interest in computer animation, silkscreen, or fashion illustration? PCA&D’s Pre-College classes provide him or her with the

opportunity to explore new and traditional media, cutting-edge technology, develop a college entrance portfolio, meet other students with similar interests, and discover a future in the arts.

For younger students, the Youth program brings children going into grades one through eight together in a creative and supportive environment where your son or daughter will gain new skills,

make new friends, and experience the joy and personal confidence that “making” brings.

Are you interested in technology and developing practical skills for your personal or professional life? Classes in our Certificate Program teach the creative skills you need for your job or career.

Maybe you’re looking for a new and inspiring creative outlet. Our Adult Studio or Artful Living classes and workshops bring out the artist in you.

FOR OVER 30 YEARS, PCA&D HAS BEEN THE REGIONAL LEADER IN

PROFESSIONAL ART AND DESIGN EDUCATION.

YOUR YOUTH INSTRUCTORSYouth instructors go the extra mile to create exciting projects for their students and an environment that is both creative and fun. Learn a little more about them, and why they make our programs so great!

CAROL AUMENTCarol graduated from Millersville University where she majored in Fine Art and received her teaching certificate in Art. She specializes in watercolor and collage. As an educator, she is passionate about inspiring artistic expression and fostering a life-long love of learning in her students.

CAROLYN HOLLINGER

Carolyn has been serving the community in various capacities since her graduation from Millersville University. With a degree in Art Education, she enjoys working in several child care facilities and teaching art to elementary students at Warwick School District with the Art Goes To School program. When she’s not in the classroom, you can find her browsing Barnes and Noble for investigative crime novels.

REBECCA CHESTERRebecca remembers her first “aha!” moment as a young artist, realizing that she could make marks with intention and create whatever she wanted. As a teacher, she now gets so much joy and satisfaction by helping her students discover their own abilities. One of Rebecca’s favorite things to do outside of the classroom is taking a road trip, exploring in and around Lancaster County. Most weekends she spends grocery shopping, grading projects and planning lessons, and spending time with family.

LISA WILSONOne of Lisa’s favorite things about being an artist is being able to express her creativity by drawing inspiration for projects through every-day experiences. She believes that we are

all artists and loves seeing her students’ enthusiasm and passion for art grow as they learn new skills and try new things. Lisa loves to spend time in her garden, travel, and attend her children’s many sporting events.

TERRI GLEASONArt making has always been a passion for Terri and teaching is an extension of that passion. In addition to teaching, she also enjoys taking classes through the Continuing Education program here at PCA&D because it allows her to explore her creative side and develop new skills. When she’s not in the role of teacher or student, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, ski, go camping, read, cook, and jog around the neighborhood.

LYNDSAY HOKE

Lyndsay is a recent graduate of Millersville University and is herself a contemporary artist, working mainly in painting, printmaking, and photography. In addition to PCA&D, she teaches at Annex 24 Gallery and the Lancaster Creative Factory. In her spare time, she loves to write poetry, play fetch with her dogs, and spend lots of time with her husband and son.

TAMERA TEETSTamera is a Lancaster County native and has loved art since childhood. She has a passion for nature, shown in her colorful, finely detailed paintings. Her hope for her artwork is to bring the beauty and tranquility of nature to the viewer, and she shares her creative passion with all of her students.
