AquaticsWater Warriors This Small Group Personal Training Program consists of interval swimming for strength, endurance and speed, group exercises, and stretching. The strokes will include front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and sidestroke. A variety of equipment will be used including hand bars, weights, water walkers, and noodles.

Private & Semi Private Lessons Both private and semi-private lessons can be purchased in packages of 3, 5 and 7, 30-minute lessons. Private Lessons will not be scheduled during group swim lesson times. You can now register for 1, 2 or 3 lessons per week. We work with all abilities, concentrating on swimming basics for beginners or stroke development for more advanced swimmers. An information form must be completed at the Member Relations Desk in order to be put on the list for an instructor. Lessons are based on a first-come, first-serve basis and on instructor availability. The Aquatics Department will contact those interested when an instructor becomes available.

Water Fitness Classes From water aerobic exercises to water walking exercises, working out in the pool is an excellent non-impact way to build strength, reduce body fat, and increase flexibility.

Water Fitness Pre/Post Natal This shallow water class focuses on pregnancy fitness with special focus on improved circulation and flexibility. A combination of low-impact aerobics, toning exercises, and stretching for all stages of pregnancy. No swimming experience is needed. Exercising in water is ideal for pregnant women because it reduces the risk of stress-related injuries, and the compression of the water is soothing on joints and muscles that are stressed by the added bulk of your pregnancy.

COMING THIS SUMMER:

Red Cross Lifeguard Training Age: 15 years and up Learn the skills and knowledge required to become a lifeguard, including how to recognize, prevent and respond quickly to aquatic emergencies. Learn CPR for the professional rescuer, AED and First Aid. Participants will receive certifications after attending all class sessions, passing all written exams, water skills and tests. Certifications are good for 2 years. Class fee includes lifeguard manual.

Prerequisites: Participant must be age 15 or older and be able to pass pretest. (Pretest consists of: 300 yard swim using front crawl with rhythmic breathing and also using the breast stroke without stopping; swim 20 yards of either stroke, perform a surface dive and retrieve a ten pound brick in 10 feet of water and then return the brick 20 yards; and tread water for 2 minutes with hands out of the water.)

Personal TrainingAquatic Personal Training Your Personal Trainer will design a fun and challenging aquatic exercise program. Workouts will focus in on a variety of options such as weight loss, strength, or range of motion and flexibility. This is also a great program for rehabbing an injury! Aqua Personal Training is available for anyone over age 12. Partner and small group training is also available. Fees for Aqua Personal Training are consistent with the personal training fees. Private Pilates/Yoga Our instructors will tailor your sessions based on your individual goals, needs and abilities to help you achieve your desired results. Sessions may include Peak Pilates chair and/or reformer work upon request. Sessions offered for 1 hour or 30 minutes. Pick up a Private Pilates/Yoga request form in the Wellness Center, fill it out, turn it in and a trainer will contact you to set up a time that is convenient for you.

Semi-Private Pilates/Yoga These sessions are perfect for couples or friends that want individualized attention rather than a group class environment or who have specific goals and objectives for training. Sessions may include Peak Pilates chair and/or reformer work upon request. Sessions offered for 1 hour or 30 minutes. Pick up a Private Pilates/Yoga request form in the Wellness Center, fill it out, turn it in and a trainer will contact you to set up a time that is convenient for you.

Adult Wellness TestingBody Composition Body composition is the amount of fat vs. lean muscle tissue in the human body. These are commonly expressed as a percentage of a person's total weight. Body weight alone is not a clear indicator of good health, because it does not distinguish how many pounds are from fat and how many are from lean body mass. Contact the Wellness Center to set up an appointment for a body composition test using the skin-fold measurement method performed by a certified personal trainer.

Fitness Assessments Each assessment includes a health screening that consists of blood pressure and resting heart rate measurements. This screening is followed by testing for body composition or measurement, cardio respiratory endurance, flexibility, and muscular strength and endurance. A computer report assessing your current fitness level and an individualized exercise prescription are provided. Please allow one hour for your evaluation. Stop by the Wellness Center to schedule your appointment.

Metabolic Testing Testing a person's metabolic rate reveals how many calories your body burns at rest, giving you the information you need to plan a weight loss, weight gain or maintenance plan. Each person's metabolism is different based on genetics, eating habits and fitness level. Metabolic testing gives you specific data that will help you achieve your personal weight control goals. Register at the Wellness Center.

FITNESS CLASSES5K Mud Run Training This program will prepare you to complete a 5K Obstacle Race. Prior to this training you should be able to run 3 miles without stopping for rest. You do not need to be registered for a race to participate in this program, race registrations are separate. Join us for the fun.

Barre Burn This 45-minute class is a total body workout that slims your hips, tightens your thighs, lifts your seats and mobilizes your metabolism. Utilizing ballet movements, intelligent isometrics, challenges in rhythm, range of motion and progressive core training, your body heals, tightens, strengthens, so your look, feel and move better!

Reformer I An ideal entry level workout designed for all fitness levels and abilities, this workout combines beginning Pilates reformer exercises with stretches and postural patterns.

Reformer II Delivers the Pilates experience in a fun and balanced fitness workout that is perfect for intermediate to advanced participants. An effective fusion of beginning Reformer exercises with traditional weight exercises, teaching participants to work from their core and gain new body awareness and definition.

Karate Ages 7 and up are welcomed. Class consists of stretching, punching skills, blocking, kicking, etc. Participants will learn self-defense, discipline, esteem & respect while having fun & getting a great workout.

Mommy & Me Yoga Mommy & Me will strengthen your body and the bond between you and your baby. Using interactive postures that incorporate your baby, you will strengthen your core, improve your posture, build confidence and relax using inspirational postures and breathing techniques. Ideal for babies 6 weeks to crawling.

Small Group Personal TrainingCross Training Utilizing functional training to make a more functional you! The human body is designed to run, jump, lift, roll, twist...basic skills that traditional methods don't address. When you train your body to meet the demands of an active healthy lifestyle you will see marked improvement in: body awareness, endurance (physical and mental), strength, power, agility, and flexibility...all the good things that make life a little more enjoyable! All skills can be scaled to meet your individual fitness level.

Kettlebell This class will teach you the foundation kettlebell lifts. Proficiency in these lifts will ensure your success in losing body fat, increasing your strength, correcting strength imbalances and overall general fitness.

Lose Weight & Keep It Off This training program can provide you the personalized attention of a trainer at a lower cost in a supportive group environment. All of the exercises in the program can be scaled in difficulty to fit your individual needs. The program will help you get in shape in a fun and challenging atmosphere. Each participant will receive a fitness assessment at the beginning & end of the program, nutritional guidance and group workouts twice a week.

TRX Body Blast This class takes your workout to a whole new level utilizing the TRX suspension trainer along with additional tools (will vary week to week) to build total body strength and cardiovascular endurance while increasing flexibility and challenging your core all at the same time.

TRX Bootcamp This class takes your workout to a whole new level utilizing the TRX suspension trainer along with additional tools (will vary week to week) to build total body strength and cardiovascular endurance while increasing flexibility and challenging your core all at the same time.

Group Personal Training Join a group of no more than fifteen for scheduled thirty minute group personal training session. Sessions will provide you with the expertise of a personal trainer at an affordable price.
