Summer Beauty

An Art in Yarn that is crocheted in 3 parts, the idea of this is that each part has a finish for a

finished design.

I have used Falkgarn Emma, but of course it is possible to use any cotton yarn 8/4, expect

the size to differ depending on yarn and crochet hook.

Yarn consumption for the total of all the parts is 3, about 2 skein of yarn Emma, see

Materials below the measurement.

Color for 2 Colored Summer Beauty is:

C1: gray no 980

C2: Pink no 978

Crochet hook: 2.5

Dimensions: approx. 62 cm total size when all 3 parts are crocheted.

Dimensions part 1: approx 33cm Yarn consumption: about 48gram

Dimensions part 1 + 2: approx 37cm Yarn consumption : about 91 gram

Description of stitches:

(_) = crochet in designated stitch.

*_*= repeats the round

**_** = Repeats the number of times references in the pattern

Popcorn = 4dc in designated stitch, take out the needle from last loop, thread the needle in

1st dc and in the loop on last dc. Thread last loop through the first loop. Crochet a ch to bind

the popcorn together.

Puff= Crochet with a total of 11 loops. Replace the needle, insert the needle in/on the

designates stitch, pick up the yarn, repeat 5 times. When you have 11 loops on the needle,

pick up yarn and thread the needle through the loops. Knit the puff together with 1 sc.

Triple Picot = start with sl st in designated stitch, 3ch, 1sl st in 1st ch. 3ch, 1 sl st in 1st ch. 3ch,

1 sl st in 1st ch, 1 sl st in designated stitch.

R1. (C1) Crochet ch5 to a loop with 1 sl st in 1st ch of 5.

R2.(C1) 12 dc around ch5

R3. (C2) Start around 1 dc with 1 fp dc, *in space between dc you crochet 1dc, 1 fp dc around

next dc* = 12 fp dc + 12 dc

R4. (C2) Start with 1sc in a fp dc, *2sc in next dc, 1 sc in fp dc* = 36sc

R5. (C2) Start with 1 popcorn in a sc, 1ch, *skip 1sc, 1 popcorn

in next sc, 1ch* = 18 popcorn + 18 ch

R6: (C1) Start around 1ch between 2 popcorn, (3dc, sch, 3dc, 1ch), * skip

1popcorn+1ch+1popcorn, in next ch you crochet (3dc, 2ch, 3dc, 1ch)* = 9 groups of 3dc, 2ch,

3dc, 1ch.

R7. (C2) Crochet 1bp hdc in the first 3 dc, 1ch, around ch2 you crochet 1puff, 1ch, 1bp hdc in

next 3dc. *1sc in ch1, bp hdc around next 3 dc, 1ch, 1puff around ch2, 1ch, bp hdc around

next 3dc*

R8. (C1) Start in a sc with (1dc, 1ch, 1dc, 1ch, 1dc, 1ch, 1dc), 2ch, * skip 3 bp hdc + 1ch, 1 fp

R13. (C2) Start around 2nd ch1 between 2nd and 3rd popcorn, around ch1 you crochet (3dc,

2ch, 3dc), skip 1 popcorn, 1sc around next ch1, 4ch, skip 1 popcorn, 1sc around ch3, 4ch, 1sc

From R14 – R22 do I use C1

R14. *crochet 1 bp hdc around first 3 dc, 1ch, 1puff around ch2, 1ch, bp hdc around next 3

dc. Skip 1sc, 1sc around ch4, 4ch, 1sc around next ch4, skip 1sc*

R15. Sl st to puff, crochet 1 fp sc around puff, *6ch, 1sc around ch4, 4ch, 1sc around next

ch4, 6ch, 1 fp sc around puff*

R16. Start in fps c with *(1dc, 1ch, 1dc, 1ch, 1dc, 1ch, 1dc), 3ch, skip ch6 + 1sc, around ch 4

you crochet (1popcorn, 1ch, 1popcorn, 1ch, 1popcorn, 1ch, 1popcorn), 3ch, skip 1sc + ch6,

continue in fp sc*

R17. Sl st to 1st ch1, *1dc in the ch1, 1ch, 1 fp dc around dc, ** 1ch, crochet 1dc around next

R19. Start with 1 fp dc, **1ch, skip ch1, 1 fp dc around next dc** repeat 8 times more. *skip

ch1 + 1 popcorn, crochet 1 popcorn around ch1, skip 1 popcorn + ch1, ** 1fp dc, skip ch1,

1ch** repeat 12 times more. 1 fp dc, 1ch, 1fpdc, 1ch, 1fpdc, 1ch, 1sl st in 1st fp dc.

R20. Start with a fp dc around dc, 1ch, skip ch1, 1 fp dc around next dc, 1ch, skip ch1, 1 fp dc

around next dc, 1ch, skip ch1, around next dc you crochet (1 fp dc, 1ch, 1fpdc). **1ch, skip

ch1, 1 fp dc. ** repeat 4 times more. Skip ch1 + 1dc. *crochet 1 fp dc around popcorn, skip

1st dc + ch1, **1fp dc, 1ch, skip ch1** repeat 5 more times. Skip last dc + ch1. Around next

dc crochet (1 fp dc, 1ch, 1fp dc). **1ch, skip ch1, 1 fp dc** repeat 4 more times. *skip ch1 +

last dc, crochet 1 fp dc around popcorn. Skip 1st dc + ch1, **1fp dc, 1ch, skip ch1** repeat 2

more times, ended with 1sl st in 1st dc.

R21. Crochet sc in each stitch. Around ch1 between 2 fp dc you crochet (1 hdc, 2ch, 1hdc).

= 207sc, 18 hdc, 9xch2

R22. This round you crochet in back loop only. Crochet sl st in each stitch, around ch2

between hdc you crochet a triple picot. Part 1 is now complete!
