Cut 1 - 8½” x 10½” (A)

Cut 12 - 1½” squares(D)

Cut 8 - 1½” squares(E)

Cut 4 - 1½” x 6½”(C)

Cut 2 - 1½” x 8½” (B)

Cut 8 - 1½” squares(F)

Piecing the BlockUnit 1 - Add the D squares to both sides of each B strip.

Unit 2 - Add the D & E squares to both sides of two C strips as shown.

Unit 3 - Add the D, E & F squares to both sides of the remaining C strips as shown.

Add Unit 1 to both sides of the A rectangle as shown.Add Unit 2 and press. Add Unit 3 to the top & bottom.

Appliqué Pattern Sheet

Step 1: Trace shapes onto fusible web in the amounts listed below.Step 2: Iron shapes onto the wrong side of the fabric color listed below and cut out.Step 3: Fold finished block into quarters and lightly press a reference crease to help with appliqué placement (shown by dotted line in diagram on pg. 1).Step 4: Using the placement diagram on pg. 1 iron applique pieces to the block as shown.Step 5: Using a blanket stitch and a coordinating thread, stitch around shapes.Step 6: If desired, add buttons to flower centers as shown in picture at left.
