Biltmore Estate Holiday TripCome along as we recapture the magic of the season during “Christmas at Biltmore” in beautiful Ashville, NC. Enjoy America’s largest home decorated with dozens of Christmas trees, hundreds of wreaths, bows, poinsettias, miles of evergreen, thousands of ornaments, tinsel, and a 35-foot Fraser fi r. See how the Biltmore House functioned, past and present, and learn about the work of the domestic servants or imagine staying at Biltmore with the Vanderbilt’s as your hosts. Enjoy a “behind the scene” tour that takes you to bedrooms not on the regular house visit and living spaces outfi tted with clothing and accessories from the 1900s. Additionally, we will visit the Biltmore’s Conservatory, visit the Biltmore Estate Winery for wine tasting, explore the Blue Ridge Parkway Folk Art Center, and visit the Antler Hill Village for some holiday shopping. This 3 day/2 night package includes 2 nights hotel accommodations, 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners at your hotel, the above tours, motor coach transportation, taxes and baggage handling. Fallingwaters and Flight 93 National MemorialFallingwaters was designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935 in rural southwestern Pennsylvania, 43 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. The home was built partly over a waterfall on Bear Run in the Mill Run section of Stewart Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, in the Laurel Highlands of the Allegheny Mountains. Fallingwater stands as one of Wright’s greatest masterpieces both for its dynamism and for its integration with the striking natural surroundings. While this is a breath taking site, it does not come without unique site challenges. Please note this is a one-hour walking tour and over 100 steps (not all at once) along with a ¼ mile walk to and from the home on uneven gravel paths. We will leave Fallingwater en route to the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The new visitor’s center will be opening in September and is a place to learn about the 40 passengers and crew of Flight 93 whose actions thwarted the hijackers’ plan to fl y this plane to a target in Washington, DC, most likely the US Capitol. It is a place to walk beside their fi nal resting place and honor the extraordinary courage of those who fought back against the terrorists. Please bring a packed lunch to be enjoyed between locations and we will stop for a sit down dinner, which will be on your own, after touring the Flight 93 National Memorial. Pick up begins at the Mt. Jackson Food Lion at 6:00am with stops going north. Estimated return time to Shenandoah County is 9:30pm. PLEASE NOTE: Register by August 17, max of 45 passengers. 3. If you prefer to pay with a debit or credit card, fill out the charge authorization section completely. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. Return your form to us in person or via fax or regular mail. No over-the phone credit card registrations will be accepted.

4. You may register as many as four family members, living at the same address, on one form. If you are registering someone from a different address you must use a separate form. Please copy this form as needed.

5. Shenandoah County Parks & Recreation programs require participants to adhere to reasonable rules of conduct and we reserve the right to remove any individual whose behavior violates program standards or creates an unsafe or intolerable atmosphere for other participants.

6. Participants must register before the start of all programs; you are not considered registered for a program unless payment is made in full. Shenandoah County Parks & Recreation programs have a minimum and maximum number of participants. Registration is accepted on a first-come, first paid basis until a program is full. Once a program is full, Shenandoah County Parks & Recreation may take names for a waiting list but does not guarantee anyone on a waiting list acceptance into a program. Shenandoah County Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel a program due to lack of enrollment. Enrollees will be promptly notified of any canceled programs.

7. Program/activity refunds will be given until a program begins, minus any supply fees. No refunds will be approved after the start of a program unless special circumstances warrant (i.e., illness with doctor’s note). All requests for refunds must be submitted on the Refund Request Form available at www.scrp.info. Full refunds will be given if Shenandoah County Parks & Recreation cancels a class, program, trip, etc.

8. For bus trip programs, full refunds will be given up until the registration deadline posted for the event. After the registration deadline, refunds will not be given, but participants can resell their space on the trip. Due to the fact that the department must pre-purchase tickets and make a deposit for the bus, this refund policy is not flexible. If registration does not meet the minimum required for the bus trip the trip will be canceled and a full refund provided.

9. If a refund is provided, a participant will receive a refund check in four-six weeks.

10. A $35 returned check fee is charged for all returned checks. 11. Scholarship forms are available for SCPR programs. For more information
