The South Chicago Summer Day Camp offers a 5 day camp with full day service for school age children. We provide a fun camp experience that includes swimming, arts & crafts, fitness, field trips and more. Students are provided breakfast and lunch daily. They also learn to develop and use soft skills and put into practice the YMCA’s core values (Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility), as well as making lasting friendships for years to come. Caring fun loving staff is what makes the YMCA Summer Day Camp a special place for your child.

PROGRAM FEES: Day Camp: Members: $145 per week Program Members: $180

PAYMENT AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE For all campers, a $25 per family ($10 for each additional child) registration fee is due upon registration. There will be a $25 deposit due for each week your child is registered for camp, which will be credited toward your weekly camp fees. The balance of your fee is due no later than 7pm the Friday before the following week of camp begins. A $25 late fee will be assessed for

payments made after Friday. Your child will not be allowed in camp if fees are not paid. All deposits and fees are non-refundable.

*Checks for camp payments are not accepted

Cancellations/Refunds/Credits Refunds or credits for a camp are available prior to June 1, 2016 only! However, the deposit of $25 per week for the full day camps is a non-refundable deposit. Specialty Camps must be paid in full upon registration.

Financial Assistance South Chicago YMCA is an Action for Children Provider. The South Chicago YMCA has limited financial assistance for Summer Camp, available through Action for Children (previously known as Day Care Action Council). For more information and a request form, contact Action for Children at 312.823.1100.

HEAD START/LICENSED PRESCHOOL FOR ALL Provides year-round, full day licensed programs for children ages 3-5 years. Our Licensed Child Care program is NAEYC accredited with educational activities promoting school readiness in literacy and language, math science, technology, the arts, physical development, self esteem, self control and positive interactions with peers and adults. Highly qualified staff and low staff-to-child ratios.

AFTER SCHOOL The South Chicago After School Program philosophy states that school-age children need a safe, stimulating environment where they can develop in a positive manner.
