Summer Camp 2018 JOHN D. MACARTHUR BEACH STATE PARK Last Day of Early Bird Fees: March 3, 2018 at NatureScaping: An Outdoor Festival SUNSHINE EXPLORERS June 11 - 15 For students ages 6, 7 and 8, campers will be introduced to environmental concepts through interactive games, crafts, and activities and enjoy swimming, beach play and outdoor play. JUNIOR RANGERS June 18 – 22 (session 1); June 25 – 29 (session 2) For students ages 9 and 10, campers will snorkel, hike, swim and kayak as they explore the Maritime Hammock, Estuary, Beach and Dune. MARINE BIOLOGISTS July 9 – 13 (session 1); July 16 – 20 (session 2) For students ages 11, 12, 13, and 14, students will explore the organisms of the coastal ecosystems by participating in scientific investigations such as fish counts on the Rock Reef, seagrass surveys, biodiversity of the estuary explorations, and Skype with a Scientist. MARINE CHAMPIONS July 23-27 For students who are ages 12, 13, and 14 who have previously completed our Marine Biologists program. This is a more advanced program for campers who are ready to be Champions for our environment! They will be participating in elevated Marine Biologists activities and much more! There will be new scientific experiments, exploration, investigation, data collection, and fun! These Marine Champions will walk away from camp with a clear understanding of good stewardship and taking care of our environment.
