About our Camp Each week, children ages 5-14 jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events.

Our campers expand their horizons, embark on new adventures, and most importantly have fun. Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable!

Our camp features a unique selection of indoor and outdoor activities and field trips that take advantage of resources in the local area.

Our specialty camps are optional programs, operating during regular camp hours, which provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures.

Activity Blocks

Mission Possible Children learn about how they can be heroes in their communities, and find creative ways to give back to those in need.

Film/Photography Campers explore the tools necessary to capture great images and videos, and refine them through digital imaging.

Block Party Dream it. Build it. Wreck it. Repeat! Campers build elaborate objects, structures and vehicles, while exploring fundamental principles of engineering and physics.

Summer Chef Campers learn kitchen fundamentals and culinary techniques as they slip on their aprons and create yummy snacks. They'll be a master chef in no time!

Art Frenzy From painting, to sculpting, to drawing and more, campers are empowered to express their inner artist and let their imaginations soar.

Excursion Unknown Get your passport ready! Children fearlessly navigate their way through different traditions, games, and cultures from countries around the world.

Science Solvers Using extraordinary investigative skills, campers develop hypotheses and conclusions during fun science projects and experiments.

Campers Got Talent Jump roping? Hula-hooping? Let your hidden talents shine! Campers develop creativity and confidence through singing, dancing, acting and more.

Mysterious Magic Children are immersed into the world of magic and mystery. They learn about famous magicians and the secrets behind the magic, and even perform in their own magic show.

Gadgets, Gizmos & Gears Challenging and fun projects encourage collaboration, decision making, and innovation. Students work together to solve problems, while developing a love of math and science.

Puzzled Out Brain teasers, puzzles and riddles help campers improve logic, reasoning, problem-solving, and math skills in an exciting way.

Camper Challenge Secret agent training is underway, as campers participate in obstacle courses, races and various team competitions.

Swim Lessons at Claude Moore Recreation Center Price: $100 for two weeks We will be offering Swim Lessons this summer with Claude Moore Recreation Center. In the morning Monday-Thursday, from 8:25 a.m. – 8:55 a.m., we will be transporting our swim campers to the indoor pool where they will have lessons taught to them by the trained Claude Moore lifeguards. These lessons run in 2 consecutive week sessions.

Specialty Camps This year we are trying something new! We are offering a variety of add on specialty camps. Make your day even more adventurous and unique by adding Skateboarding, Video Game Design, Soccer, Star Wars Camp or more! Each week we will offer one or two specialty camps where students will go from 9:00-11:00/12:00. After, the students will join the rest of the campers for Day Camp where we will all go on field trips, have special events, and go through all of our exciting activity blocks!

Kindergarten Prep Academic Camp: Offered Week 2- Week 9

Welcome to Kindergarten Kick Off ! This is the only camp Chesterbrook offers for rising Kindergarten students. Students will be introduced back into the classroom atmosphere with exciting, fun, and educational learning centers and a hands on activity with a focus on Language Arts and Math. Through small group and differentiated instruction, the skills set we will review or extend include: Reading readiness concepts (left-right, top-bottom etc.), Decoding and encoding, Word families, Number sense, Number recognition, Solving mathematical problems using manipulatives, Writing, Listening Comprehension, Proper pencil grip and cutting, and Practice independence and self-advocacy. Their mornings will be academic in nature and afternoons will aim towards developing their socio-emotional growth as they participate in sports, Arts & Crafts, Water Days, experiments, and team-building activities. This is a great opportunity for your child to successfully transition into our Kindergarten program.

Rising First & Rising Second Grade Academic Prep Camp: Offered Week 2- Week 9

Students will be introduced back into the classroom atmosphere with exciting, fun, and educational learning centers and a hands on activity with a focus on Language Arts and Math. This camp will be conducted from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. These campers will join their peers at noon and participate in all scheduled afternoon activities and field trips. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to keep their skills fresh over the summer and experience some awesome summer camp fun!

ICKY ME MINION CAMP- Week 1 (9:00am – 12:00pm) Grades: Rising 1st-6th If you go bananas over little yellow creatures wearing goggles, Challenge Island™’s MINION PARTY CAMP is the place for you! Our movie inspired STEM challenges will include building a lab, making rocket launchers and jelly blasters, and designing ways to keep the minions safe on their missions. This fantastic camp promises to make you very HAPPY this summer!

Cooking Camp– Week 2 (9:00am – 11:00am) Grades: Rising 2nd-6th Master Chef: Join us for a week of cooking fun as we learn and create our own Master pieces in the Kitchen. We learn how to carefully prepare tasty treats and more. At the end of the week you will have your own cook book and become a true Master Chef!! Cost: $295/week

Engineering with Little Bits– Week 2 (9:00am – 11:00am) Grades: Rising 1st-3rd Software: LittleBits Skill Level: Beg. In this class, younger students are introduced to basic electronics including input/output through hands on learning and projects. Kids combine everyday supplies and color-coded modules that utilize LED lights, fans, sliders, pressure sensors, and more! Students work together in small teams to in order create different projects such as custom flashlights, touch sensors, alarm clocks, and more! Have you ever wanted to learn about the science behind how some machines work?

Vendor: C3 Cyber Club Cost: $380/week

Outdoor Adventure– Week 1 (9:00am – 11:00am) Grades: rising 1st-4th Do you love spending time outside and have always wanted to learn more? Have you ever wondered ‘what tracks are those?’ ‘what does poison ivy look like?’ and ‘how come some animals eat plants?’ This is the camp for you! Adventure, critters, and More: Join us the week full of adventure as we explore the great outdoors. Learn all about camping, the edible outside and more as we discover the great our doors.

Soccer Camp– Week 3 (9:30am – 11:30am) Grades: Rising 1st-9th Soccer is an excellent all around fitness sport that is also very inclusive. Kids of any body size and type can learn to play well. Few sports offer the same combination of rigorous exercise, fast-paced excitement, social interaction and cooperative teamwork. Muscular strength, endurance, joint flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, coordination, agility, balance, weight control, body image and self-esteem are all boosted. This clinic covers trapping, dribbling, passing, shooting, positional play and scrimmaging. Cost: $275/week

Drama Kids– Week 5 (9:00am – 11:00am) Grades: Rising 1st-4th Drama Kids offers exciting programs for ages 4 to 9. Kids who take our classes have tons of fun and develop important confidence-building skills that will help them personally and academically. Activities include: improvisations, mini-scripts, speaking skills, character analysis, theater games, creative movement, and performances.

Programming using Minecraft– Week 5 (9:00am – 12:00pm) Grades: Rising 1st-4th Using a custom mod called “Computercraft”, students will learn how to program robots called “Turtles” inside the world of Minecraft. Kids will utilize problem-solving skills by learning how to program their robots to complete various tasks and objectives such as programming their turtles to automatically build, mine, and craft items and structures. They will be introduced to programming if¬then¬else statements, for while loops, and implement their own functions using Lua, a simple scripting language. Looking for a fun way to introduce your child to programming? Why not do it using a game they love! Note: Basic reading skills required. Experience playing Minecraft preferred, but not required.

Video Game and Design Week 7 (9:00am – 11:00am) Grades: Rising 1st-4th This special class is specifically designed for younger children to cultivate their interest to become game designers, multimedia artists, engineers, programmers and more! Give your child the opportunity to see how professional games are made. In this exciting class, children will use basic 3D geometry to create their very own video game level. Students will create puzzles and challenges using jump pads, elevators, lava, and more! Acquire computer skills, mathematics, creativity and basic problem solving skills. Looking for a way to introduce your child to the wonderful world of video game design? This is a great place to start! Vendor: C3 Cyber Club Cost: $380/week

Cheetah Sports Camp– Week 7 (9:30am – 11:30am) Grades: Rising 1st-9th A great overview of various sports and fundamental skills will be learned. Teamwork and good sportsmanship are stressed. Specific sport activities will vary by each class. This session is designed to ignite a passion for sports. Children will improve their kicking, running, jumping, and throwing skills. Introduction in various sports will include T-Ball, Hockey, Basketball, Soccer, Tug of War, Frisbees, Relay Races, Individual instruction, organized drills and fun Games will be included. Cost: $275/week

Space Wars Camp– Week 8 (9:00am – 12:00pm) Grades: Rising 1st-6th Get ready for some out of this world excitement at Challenge Island™’s all new Space Wars Camp! You and a tribe of friends will take on a galaxy-full of movie inspired challenges including building your own spaceship, designing tribal droids and launching your own rockets. The force is sure to be with you at this not to be missed interstellar STEM adventure camp.

American Inline Skateboarding Camp– Week 9 (9:00am – 12:00pm) Grades: Rising 1st-4th Ready, set, go! Whether your child has never been on a skateboard and wants to learn, or they want to improve their skills and gain confidence this camp will put your little shredder on the fast track to being a better rider. This skateboard camp is packed with safe, fun and thrilling activities. Under the supervision of American Inline coaches, skateboard campers receive instruction on how to safely push, ride, carve, tack turn, ride ramps, ride fakie, rock n’ roll, rock to fakie and grind. We bring our little mobile skate park to Chesterbrook Elementary Summer with launch ramps, wedge ramps and a fun box, all small enough for beginning skateboard riders. Each day includes private and group instruction, skateboard courses and skating games. Participants receive a camp T-shirt and sticker. Ages 5 to 9 years. Staff to participant ratio: 1:6. Required equipment includes skateboard, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards, water and snack.

American Inline Biking Camp– Week 9 (9:00am – 12:00pm) Grades: Rising 1st-4th Learning to ride a bike is a rite of passage; a skill that once acquired, is never forgotten. Teach a child to ride and you have opened the doors to a lifetime of fresh air fun and two wheeled adventures. The key rule when teaching a child to ride: keep it fun. No matter what your skill level, this bike riding camp will put you on the fast track to becoming a better, more confident bike rider. Beginners will learn how to ride without the assistance of training wheels. Learn how to start, stop, pedal, balance and coast, basic riding skills, braking, turning and steering. Those who can already ride can increase their skills by learning how to brake faster, stop quicker, steer better, play bike games, ride confidence courses, short tours and more. Each day includes private and group instruction, safety courses and bike riding games. Participants receive a camp T-shirt and sticker Staff to participant ratio: 1:6. Required equipment includes bike without training wheels, helmet, bike gloves, water and snack.

Cool Creative Crafts Camp– Week 10 (9:00am – 11:00am) Grades: Rising 2nd-9th Do you love using your creativity to make something unique? Do you love Pinterest and completing new and exciting projects? Join us for our Cool Creative Crafts Camp: Join us for a week of DIY extravagance as we create a craft unique and fun treasure to decorate your room or locker. Add your own flare and leave your mark!! At the end, you will have a portfolio filled with cool new projects to show your friends! Cost: $285/week

Wizarding Party Camp– Week 10 (9:00am – 12:00pm) Grades: Rising 1st-6th Calling all muggles for Challenge Island™ ’s All New WIZARDRY PARTY Camp! Our movie inspired STEM challenges will include designing your own magic wand, building Hogwart’s castle, creating magic snitches, and mixing up magic potions. Registration & Deposit

Payment Policy: A deposit equal to your tuition is required at time of enrollment to hold your reservation. The deposit will be applied to your campers final week of camp. Weekly camp fees are due every Monday morning at drop-off for that week of camp and is subject to a $25 late fee if not received by 12 pm Tuesday.
