Sponsoring these alfresco summer concerts has beenspecial for many reasons. For one, we get to relish themild, Mediterranean climate that graces our beautifulThird District. Additionally, our community enjoys theshared experience of assembling freely and peacefully inour stunning open spaces.
Free access to the arts enriches people's lives andprovides an opportunity to introduce younger generationsto a whole repertoire of musical genres, ranging fromjazz to pop and country to blues. Concerts in the heart ofour cities give residents a safe place to gather whiledeepening community roots, strengthening family bonds, and creating new memories together.

Together, We Can Help Prevent Drownings
Drownings are preventable. Orange County faces 100+drownings a year with the most frequent accidents in ourown backyards. On July 17, Supervisor Wagner visitedthe Orange Senior Center to raise awareness and to helpeliminate drownings throughout the County.
Kids under five and the older-but-wiser crowd are most atrisk. Adult risk factors include:
Drugs and alcoholMedical conditionsUnderestimated swimming abilitySwimming alone
Supervisor Wagner has been proactive about drowningprevention this summer, partnering with the OrangeCounty Fire Authority and the Drowning Prevention TaskForce to let people know how critical it is to always swimwith a friend.
Thank you to OCFA, the Orange Senior Center, MariaMinaglia from OC Health Care Agency, and all thehardworking staff who helped relay this vital safetymessage to our invaluable community.
Stay cool in the pool and please stay safe!
