Welcome to the 2018 Camp Curiosity season! We are excited to offer a full lineup of Camp Curiosity programs that will make STEM come alive and challenge every camper from Pre-K to 12th grade. By aligning to the interests of the campers, we are able to engage everyone while opening eyes and minds to even more possibilities. Our camps are professionally designed and differentiated by grade to ensure authentic problem-solving experiences where failures lead to breakthroughs and each camper leaves better prepared for the future.

Campers in grades 2-3 are all about one thing – hands-on exploration. Our camps are specifically designed to highlight exploration and foster creativity in a highly interactive and social environment. We focus on using the engineering design process to enhance our learning and build a base for successful scientific investigation.

NEW Amusement Park Science Jr. July 16-20Get in, buckle your seatbelt and prepare yourself for a super science-y scramble of a week. Physics of FunJuly 2-6Spend a week tinkering with toys and increasing your "funderstanding" of physics. Before joining the CIA or the FBI, come to the Science Center and see what the science behind espionage is all about! Master a critical repertoire of undercover agent skills, including surveillance and code cracking, all while having the time of your life! Price $260 ($240 members)

Amusement Park ScienceJuly 16-20Experiment with physics, friction, inertia and momentum. Use your design and engineering skills to create miniature models of your favorite rides. Chemistry CaféJune 18-22 Preheat the oven to 350 while you mix up a batch of kitchen chemistry that produces some of our favorite treats. At the pre-teen age, science content becomes more focused, and at school, the structure of formal education sometimes does not permit individual students to explore their interests in a way that best suits their learning style. Payment PlansPayment plans are available for Camp Curiosity. A 25 percent down payment is required at the time of registration and 25 percent is due every 30 days thereafter until full payment is made. Full payment for a session is due no later than three days before the start of camp. Any remaining balance will be automatically charged three days before a session begins. Refund PolicyCancellations must be made 14 days before the registered program date to receive a refund. No refunds will be given within 14 days of the program date. A 25 percent administration fee will be withheld for cancellations made 14 days or more before the program date.

Cancellation PolicyGreat Lakes Science Center reserves the right to cancel any program up to two weeks before it starts and will provide a full refund in the case of insufficient enrollment.

Experienced TeachersCamp instructors are science professionals and teachers, along with college students with documented experience working with children. All summer camp staff members are CPR, AED and first aid certified and have passed criminal background checks.
